I had one back when I was either 3 or 4. I was laying in my bed when I was little and I was looking out the window. A few minuted later, a tall, white, almost human-looking thing walked passed my window. It was completely white, and walked quickly, almost running. Now that I think about it, it might've been around 6 feet tall. It's eyes were black like a grey alien's, and it's arms and legs were really skinny, and it looked like it had no muscle.

I was doing research a while back and I came across the story of 'the white thing'. The description fit mine nearly exactly, except this one had red eyes instead of black, and it usually came across hunters while they were hunting.

Anyone have anymore information on this? Anyone with similar sightings?

I've seen things like red eyes in woods and such. I've always thought it was a possum but then I'm like "wait a minute; I'm not shining no flash light down there!" You know how there eyes turn reddish when you shine a light on them. I also have bi-polar and one of the symptoms is seeing things that aren’t there. So, I probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference if I saw something unless it touched me. wacko.gif

Ummm.....most likely some one ran past your window and you thought you saw alien.gif

We don't have much of a crypto zoo here in Oz. The odd big cat or Tassie Tiger spotted, haven't even heard of a Yowie for yonks. I have been to a few Billabongs that are supposed to have Bunyips according to the indigenous natives. Never seen one though.

No one in my family is white like that. It was almost luminescent. I know what I saw, and it wasn't female, so it crosses out my cousin and aunt, and it was taller and more slender than my male cousin, and it just doens't suit my uncle correctly. The only thing that was outside anyways, was our black chow chow, and I don't think she could walk on two legs. It was different ... inhuman.

I had what I thought to be a near cryptid run in with bigfoot. A friend and I, along with his girlfriend were driving to some wooded area where ghost sitings have been known to be seen. So we drove up there with flashlights, cameras, both digitial and film and hopes of catching a ghost on film.

I had heard what sounded like a growl when I got out of the van but was unsure so I softly asked the girlfriend if she had heard it to. She hadn't and rushed back into the van. At that time my friend came around and asked if I had heard anything unusual like a growl. I thought it odd since I didn't believe he was close enough to hear.

As we were taking pictures we heard the grunt type growl again and shined our lights in the nearby trees. (about 20-30 yards away) we had heard what sounded like a bipedal creature walking. (there is definatly a diffrence between the sounds of 2 feet versus 4) As he scanned with the flashlight again I saw something tall and hairy. I was so excited about capturing a photo of a bigfoot I could not articulate exactly where to point the flashlight. (alot of ooh ooh go right, ooga booga no left etc) I handed over my camera and grabbed the flashlight pointing right at the spot.

Alas he could finally see it, I told him to take a pic when I got closer and it was in greater light. I know, very stupid to walk up to a bigfoot at night with just a flashlight. But if I did get mauled then I would be a famouse dead guy providing that well my friend got a pic of it.

closer and closer I crept until I got a better view in the light only to find........ an Emu. granted Emus are not a cryptid by any means but at night a large hairy looking bird with its back turned to you near a tree sure as hell looked like a bigfoot.

So technically I have not had a crypto encounter just a near miss. And seeing as my friend turned me on to this site there is a good chance that he might see this. Then I simply make face. w00t.gif

You can add the thyleco and Megla prista to that list as their are a few reports every year come in blush.gif

As for yowies I guess you arent in the right circles to hear of reports tongue.gif

Actually, my oldest and her mates were up at their school the other night and had a possible yowie encounter with a couple of witnesses.

She was the only one who knew about yowies, the others had never heard of them.

Indeed, long time fan of your sig. Best I've seen. Noticed it the day I joined.

The thyleco - this is the marsupial Lion right? Bah, no way does this exist, the natives would know. Doubts on the Thylacine too. If they really exist, and someone really wants to disturb them - an Indegenous tracker would find one. These people know this country better than anyone ever will. Their skills are truly amazing to witness. If you have no idea about our indigenous people, have a look at the movie Rabbit Proof Fence, it shows some of the dreadful plight they have survived and how 3 little girls made it across a desert where many grown men have perished. These people are part of this country.

What is a Megla Prista? Haven't heard of that one before. wacko.gif

Hrrmzz Yowies ey, wonder who I speak to to get in that circle grin2.gif Maybe Tia can help, she seems to have heard of them. (Was that encounter in NSW?)
Haven't heard of a Yowie sighting since I was a kid. NSW seems to sight a great deal more Cryptids than Queensland. More people, cooler environment, Tooheys New or Chemtrails?, there are many possible reasons...... geek.gif

I can remeber seeing some thing in the brush back of my horse feild. It was about a half a foot tall, standing up, I presume, for I could only see the back half. It looked like a pig, but as far as my knowlagde, no one has pigs around here.
Tia
Hi psyche, no Indeeds the one to talk about yowies with. He spends a lot more time in the bush then me.

With the marsupial lion, I've got a thread on here about mystery tracks I found and a guy Indeed put me in contact with has said that he believes that they could well be from one.
