General Relativity and negative matter- energy fields shows it is possible to create a bubble around a vehicle which would allow it to move at a velocity faster than the speed of light.

In recent testing, ultra high- intensity, peta/ eta- watt tabletop lasers have achieved extreme electric and magnetic fields, pressure, temperature and space- time curvature, which otherwise are expected to be found only close to a black hole horizon.

Non- local (instantaneous) communications between two beams of light (spin direction) has been experimentally demonstrated, on a random basis.

Scientists all over the world are excited about the fact that the worm hole travel may become reality in the next ten to fifteen years instead of next three hundred years!

New developments in new materials at meso-, micro-, and nano- scale levels also provide some clues. Materials demonstrate new properties and unusual reactions to various fields and forces. Carbon nano-tubes, which are being jointly produced and studied by the NASA Johnson Space Center, constitute one important example. Knowledge of extreme field/ plasma interactions is growing. Laser research, accelerator development, fusion research, etc - the new energy generation/ exchange phenoma are being uncovered in the study of the Earth’s magnetosphere/ ionosphere.

Also - NASA has recentyl advised they expect to have a hyper-drive engine prototype ready in approximately 5 years. ool huh!

Well, I just found the Original pdf Document which BTW was written for a conference in 1999 by a couple of very optimistic Phd'ers because by their proposal we should have gravity under control by now. It should be noted NASA does not endorse the paper!

I'll do some more research, run it past some physicists & let you know the results BUT I wouldn't be surprised if this type of research has been scrapped.

BTW, I did a research on SQUIDS (Super-conducting Quantum Interference Devices) that the same site IndianDaily had reported on and not surprisingly there is very little truth in what they wrote. IndianDaily reports how these devices can be used to spy on UFOs, reverse engineer their technology etc etc - lot of bogus mumbo-jumbo IMO.

Quite frankly, the thought of humans, at their current level of development, running about the galaxy unescorted scares the crap outa me. I would think that it would scare anyone we meet as well.

aww, too good to be true, we probably have to wait like 300 hundred years for this, hope it is achieved in my lifetime, but somehow I doubt it.

This type of technology would certainly explain how ET's may be able to reach us. I am a bit skeptical about ET coming from far-away star systems due to the unfathomable time and distances. They could only reach us if the were in close star systems, and in our own galaxy at best.

Wow, amazing if space travel becomes like this to humanity in just a few years!
