Does anyone remember the show Unsolved Mysteries from the 80's? I freakin loved that show! Anyway has anybody heard anything about the Lifetime/Dish Network feud going on? Apparently Lifetime was kicked off Dish due to a dispute over a few pennies. Could it be a conspiracy against women in general? More importantly where will I watch my Usolved Mysteries?!

Some other channel will show it I'm sure. A&E perhaps, I don't know.

Oh yeah, I remember that show . . don't get the chance to watch it much. No, haven't heard anything of the Lifetime/Dish dispute. Lifetime is the only satellite/cable channel I know that airs 'Unsolved Mysteries'.

They used to show a double bill of it at midnight every night over here on Living TV, I remember talking to my ex about it one night, who was from from Tennessee, and she was terrified by Robert Stack as a kid.
I do remember one case really sh**ting me up though, and it was about a girl who worked as a clerk in a 24 hr convenience store. She disappeared without trace one night, but people who stopped there in the early hours of the morning remember a biker being behind the counter, serving them. Years later, somebody reported that a biker had apparently tried to sell an American girl to him at a jewellery store in London.
Seriously weird.

I remember the first time I saw the show. I think they were doing a marathon of it or something. I was supposed to go to a birthday party. I got so engrossed in the show that I completely missed the party.

Best mystery show ever. Some of the stories me and my family still talk about and wonder what happened. The best part about the show I watch now is that enough time has passed, they have updates and some of them you say, I knew it was the brother in law, and others your shocked by what turned out to be the truth.

This is the guy-
Karl Malden, he only did two shows after the first one aired. Raymond Burr hosted the first.

I was too! His voice was sooo creepy, everytime I heard of a missing persons case or what not, I would hear his voice in my head

And everytime they showed a unsolved murder case, I would think, " Why does he stay in that open field?! The murderer can go after him!" It was/is a good show. Anyone know if the show being sold in sets of each season?

[attachmentid=23040]I also wish they would make new ones. If they do, they should put it on a local network(like that new CW network) I found out that I should be getting the DVDs in a week.

Anyone remember a program called "Strange but true" that kicked arse too

Apr 30 2006, 08:40 PM
Strange but true was QUALITY!!!!!!!!!!
Il always remember the story of the enfield poltergiest when it threw stuff at the camera man and made that little girl talk in a scary voice all on tape. It used to scare the sh*t out of me on saturdays. I liked the story of the guy who went to phone his girlfriend, hit the wrong numbers and rang a payphone, only thing was his girlfriend was walking by it at the time and answered the call!!!!!! Thats too freaky.
Pity there are no shows like that on anymore. The only thing ive seen in the last few years thats scared me like that is the ghosts caught on tape on bravo. Now that is some amazing footage. You can see it on google video by typing ghosts caught on tape into the video search.

Ooh. I loved Unsolved Mysteries. I remember when I was younger that everytime I saw the cases happen and Robert asked if anyone could identify any of the cases to write or call [insert information here] and I was so tempted to write to them and say "It's all there on tv! You guys got the bad man on tv, why do you need help in catching them? Won't it be easy to get 'em?"
Mind you all, I was rather young when I watched it. xD I loved the series in general. Now, I only watch "A Haunting", but it doesn't compare to Unsolved Mysteries. :/
