With the XBOX 360 released, and the Revolution and PS3 on the way, which console are you going to purchase? My vote goes to the Revolution. What's your machine of choice?

EDIT: Actually, mine is a little different. Mine is simply which console people are buying/prefer, while that one is more about which one people think will be more popular.

I voted for the Revolution as well. I can't wait to download NES games right onto my rev. Plus the games are great.

I will probably end up purchasing both the Revolution and PS3. Although the Revolution will be first with the PS3 coming way down the track, when its price has seriously dropped and I have some money again!

I also tough of doing the same as you, but I don't know if I'll have enough money to spend in both, time will tell...

I keeping with a tradition that I've had for the last two console cycles; I'll get a Rev at or near launch, and get a PS3 at the tail-end of this next-gen cycle.

I do this mainly because I don't have the money or time for two consoles out of the gate.

360, nintendo has lame games, too much jap crap, I used to realy like sony, but its also turning into too much jap games, i'd rather play the 360, but that mostly comes down to the games.

All three all the way. I am a guy who can never make up his mind, so I thought to myself, why not get the best of all three worlds! so, I am buying all systems. MWAHAHAHAH. sorry, slipped into my maniacal laugh there for a minute.

I'll be definitely getting an Xbox360, and possibly a Revolution...... but the last is only a wish, I don't know if I could afford them both.

PS3 I'll get eventually. As for the other two, I'll likely get them both eventually when the price reaches the £100 mark

I'm definately going to buy the Playstation 3, just because of MGS4. Then i might be buying the Revolution, just depends on what games they have on it.

Deffo getting a PS3 maybe a XBOX 360 and depends on how good the nintendo is to whether i buy that as well

I heard that one of the Rev launches will be Super Smash Bros. Revolution. I don't know if this is true though.

I am not sure its either the PS3 or Xbox but can't decide. More likely it will be the PS3.

probally the PS3, I dont like the looks of the nintendo rev control system, it just wouldn't feel right.

I'll be getting a PS3 as soon as I can. Eventually, I will get a Revolution as well. It'll be a long time before I can afford both though, and I don't have nearly as much time for gaming as I used to.

Yes. Melee was the best selling game for the Gamecube, so they decided to have the next one at launch. It might not be out on launch day, but it'll be within a month or so, like Melee.
Also Iwata said that it was a mistake to launch the Cube without a Mario game, and that there will be one at launch this time.

Yeah, I also remember that there were lots of topics in nintendo forums with suggestions for new characters, levels, weapons, modes (I would love to see a custom mode, it could be a secret mode that you had to unlock and there you could make some special rules, like, one guy is metal and giant and the others have to kill himfor example), If I remember correctly, the most suggested character was metaknight, I would also love to play with him, what character do you think they should add in your opinion?

Daisy is already there as a peach skin, there is really no need for her, unless you can prove me wrong somehow... I think they are already taking away some clone characters like pichu, so they porbably will not add daisy, that would be stupid.

But what about the other two?

S'gotta be the PS3 for me. The fact I can still play all my classic playstation 1&2 games on it is a major plus.

jap crap?! japan is like the cutting edge of technology and they make wkd games (although alot of the philosophical verbal can get annoying at times).

I find Nintendo was better when I was younger, I find their games generally target a younger market.

The closest thing to beating the ps3 has to be the xbox. The only down side to that is they don't generally bring out the games I like which come out on the PS. And as for the good games they do bring out, I can usually wait and get them on PC at a later date anyways! i.e. fable.

That's always been a big downside to the Xbox. However, Halo 2 still hasn't come out on PC, if I recall correctly.

True they don't come out at the same time as the xbox release, but usually within a year or so, you can see it on the PC. Fable took a long time to come out on PC, but eventually did.
With Halo available on PC it's only a matter of time til we see Halo 2 there also.

I don't think Halo 2 is coming to the PC. If it were going to come out it would've.

The Revolution is getting a new Super Smash Brothers so that will be my first. Second will be PS3.

I think it will, in time microsoft will realize that they won't lure a lot of people by letting the best game in his console to not be released on PC, Halo 2 will probably be released on PC after halo 3 becomes a popular game... at least that's what I think that they are trying to do, luring people, but not everybody is that stupid and not everybody will spend loads of money on a xbox 360.

Guess the only thing anyone can do is wait and see...
