Full Version: Death and parallel universes

I whole-heartedly believe in life never ending beyond the physical. Last week I had a dream, I think it was a dream- I was witnessing a largefireballl streaking across the sky toward the horizon. As it got closer to the ground it got brighter and brighter until it impacted and exploded with an ear-shattering noise. It unfortunately was much closer than I thought it was and began sending out waves of heat and energy in the form of wind and fire. The ground around the impact lifted up into the air and spread out for miles. I was consumed in an instant as well as everyone around me. The whole of Manhattan Island and all the surrounding boroughs were vaporized as well as communities in the close-by tri-state area. Well, I never in all my life experienced a more detailed vivid dream. I felt the blast and the heat. I felt the flesh rip from my bones and cooked. The pain lasted for a split second then suddenly I found my self standing in the same exact spot completely untouched and in one piece without any memory of what just happened. I did not recall this dream until much later the next day when I remembered that in the dream I had a revelation that I was wisked from this world (universe) to a parallel universe where this fireball from the sky did not appear a crash to earth. In my new body I just continued to go about my business uniteruppted by what had just transpired in my previous world(universe). The memory of this dream or occurrence is still with me as if just happened. I would like to know if anyone ever experienced such a dream- if it was a dream. I can't be sure.
Thanks, Walt

Incredible dream!

You had this dream recently? Is this dream similar to the type of dreams you normally have?

The reason I ask is because I've read and have talked with others that seem to be having these "end of the world" type dreams recently as well.. I had one myself back in October 2005 - and never have dreams of this sort.. this is the first of this kind that I've ever had. Really took me by surprise.. and one I easily remembered - usually I quickly forget my dreams.

On the death and life parallles.. Well, I have my reasons for believing this, and thankfully because of two incidents I no longer fear death. But I do believe there is life after death.. it's just not the same as here on earth.

Yes, quite amazing!!!! This is a very interesting subject. I do believe in parallel universes and universal paradoxes and the such. I am very intrigued with life after death and I do believe in life after death. Even though my mind always tells me to question everything, I am a believer in Christianity and the afterlife of those beliefs. But nonetheless, I am in search of the truth and still have a VERY open mind.

Thank you all for your comments and interest. My usual dreams are quite mundane and unremarkable. This is the first time I have ever experienced such a dream - or event, if you will.
I was a skeptic by nature being educated and trained as an aerospace engineer, but have changed my view of the world and the universe after having worked for the Air Force on highly classified projects. Lets just say I saw quite a bit that I cannot discuss openly. I am afraid that I cannot answer any questions pertaining to the military, so please don't ask. I've researched this subject in depth and even had success my first try in recording EVP. Our lives would be totally meaningless if this mere blink of an eye existence is all she wrote. Think about it; if we totally disintegrate, body and soul, after this brief life here on earth, then what is the point in being alive? If all we've toiled over for 70 or 80 years is snuffed out and our embodiments are reduced to their separate atomic constituents to be spread out into the cosmos never to be heard from again, then that is one heck of a cruel joke. I wish everyone could experience for themselves the strange but inspiring dream/life experience described in my dream.
Thank you!
Walter

I understand not to ask anything pretaining the military, and I completely respect that. My son-in-law is currently serving in the military and deployed in Iraq. Where exactly? we don't know as he is not allowed to say exactly where and for how long.

Walter, I have thought alot on the point of being alive and for what purpose and so forth. Over the years it has varied with me... but if I did KNOW the absolute answer, that would also be the answer to the question " What is the meaning of life?"

Now of EVP.. I've only recently become aware of.. mostly due to watching a movie called "White Noise" with Keaton in it. I liked the movie, but the ending could have been a bit better. I did run acrossed a site regarding EVP and how he accomplised it and so forth, but did not bookmark it.

My experience with the "other side" has been through others very close to me.. one was terminally ill with cancer and quite coherent to the end.
