Never heard of it until today. Being special is no excuse for bad behaviour. Must admit a lot of ADHD kids just need a good spanking others well they may be genuine grin2.gif

I get the impression that there may indeed be kids that could be classified as "Indigo", but it also looks like parents are jumping on the bandwagon like they did with ADD and other disorders, which simply excused bad behavior and allowed their kids to be medicated, thereby relieving parents of any responsibilty.

"Ohhhh, it's not my fault Johnny grew up to be a serial killer, it was the ADD". I say maybe if you didn't lock him in a closet and let uncle Fester molest him he may have been OK.

Same thing seems to be going on here. "Oh, I am sorry little Johnny won't do as you tell him in class, it's just that he's INDIGO and therfore better than all of us, so just let him do whatever he wants!"

Whatever!

You've hit the nail on the head, dead on. We are seeing more and more parents being totally stupid and/or way to 'busy' to even notice what is going on w/their kids - or even worse, do not even care. (This is focused to parents w/kids under 18.) After 18, basically it's too late for the parents then to heed the 'wake up call'.

Someone told people on a aspergers site they were indigo children once. Only one person beleived him and everyone else told him why the indigo children people are wrong. yes.gif

If indigo children are so advanced they would be more adaptable and be able to tolerate/co-exist with society. According to the list of questions posted earlier I am almost 100% indigo (cept for the emotional instability and the ADHD(Although ADHD wasn't a diagnosed thing in my day)) yet I am probably out with the age bracket. Society is bogged down by people "wanting" to be different. My daughter tries very hard to be an individual, too hard. I keep telling her "do your own thing". If you are "different", you are and nothing much you can do about that. It's like they want to be more different than the last generation. It annoys our kids when we tell them.....oh that song was originaly sung by.....we did that when we were your age....etc.. So to rebel and be more extreme than thier parents they do real crazy stuff, I dread to see my childrens children lol Hyper Super ADHD, smoking at 4 years old and drinking at 6. Sorry but I may be bracketing some of you guys in a fairly general statement, just an observation of my kids and thier friends.

Some people out there will be an small evolutionary step ahead of others it's the way nature evolves spiecies through minor mutations. We have slowed down evolution as natural selection does not affect us due to our health care systems. So people who are very ill and would normaly die survive to procreate and keep thier deffective genes in the gene pool. No I am not saying we should kill all sick people......before anyone gets started grin2.gif It's just a fact of nature. In our gene pool we will have people behind the evolution curve some on it and some ahead and it will prety much stay that way unless there is a huge natural disaster. So who is to say advanced people don't exist with abilities "normal" people don't have, now as to the nature of these abilities who can say.

IF "Indigo" - "Star Child" - "Star Seed" - "Crystal" are so "special" - how is it that their "ONE SIZE FITS ALL", makes anyone "special"? We are all "special" by this "One Size Fits All", therefore there is no one "special". wacko.gif

Special is relevant to ones viewpoint therefore someone who is special to me may not be special to you.

Hey Mr., I'm special, my mom tells me so!!!! wink2.gif

Seriously though, all people want to feel special, especially children. I agree and think it is wrong though to give children these kind of labels, they are misleading. I was about to go one and give my opinion about raising children, but as I have none, I will refrain original.gif

Is this thread re-born?

I'll agree that this is a way to make someone feel special. Not that that is a bad thing, but pretty soon, all the special people outnumber the not special people.
I think there is some sort of diagnosed condition that relates to a person feeling the need or compulsion to be different, or special, or "fringe". Honestly, that's why if you follow my posts you see me making fun of "vampires" and what-not. To me, people that choose to do that sort of thing, do it BECAUSE it's different. They want to belong to a special club, just not the same club as everyone else. Then the goth/emo kids hang at the mall scaring old ladies......

Unique is good in my opinion, being different just so you can say you're different makes me think there are deeper personal issues.
Also true when parents project this idea onto their children!!
mysticart1987
Yes people do have different issues than some everyone else no matter how similiar!!

But some people feel so unconnected to this world and feel that the world doesn't understand them. I know that there are people who are disconnected because of the people around them. Anyways for some people they look at the world different, affect it differently, and have different abilities making them uniquely not of the normal status that most people look for in todays society!!

Indigos is just another term for the term that i fit into this world just like being normal is the main status for people. Face it that this world is organized to seperate us into many catorgories based on our race, mental status, economical status, or career status. Why? because people are going to be different whether they are in a group or making a new group for the people with different and new abilities that comes for the new century and the evolutonized mind!!

Quoted from a you tube commentary:

QUOTE
crystal children are the ones who open hearts indigos are the ones who tear down old systems with action and voice.

Do not think anger is a bad thing it is the reason for the anger that determins if it is negative of positive anger.

Many Indigo are angry cause of what they experience in life which leads ultimately to depression but at certain point something will happen to allow that fury to pour out on the opressers of man a unseen force yet to be known but will be.

StoneAgeQueen
Aren't the indigo children all meant to be under a certain age though? I fit all the defining characteristics for them and I'm 25. I think there are many "gifted" people, but I think calling them indigo children and giving a set list of their capabilities is silly.
Mesobaite
Perhaps the age their meant to be under is ours - our time: now...
Erawind
Well personally I think it's better for the Indigo children to know their identities as Indigos, because sometimes we experience extreme depression and...er, occasionally, unable to see any meaning in life because most of us find that we don't really fit in this society. As in...we don't go with the flow that much. Same goes for the current education system, they kick out holographic thinkers. So it's better if we know our purpose here, then at least we know we're alive with a certain meaning even if we don't really know what it is, and yeah...suicidal rates can decrease lol. o.O

Has anyone heard of indigo children? It was on the news a few days ago. But I missed it! angry.gif I guess they had supernatural powers.

'They' are supposedly 80% of people born after 1992, and if i remember correctly something like 99% of people born after 2000. But these stories always seem to change from one source to the other, so i'm probably wrong.

Personally, I think this just about sums it up.

“ Are you an indigo? he asked Dusk. The boy looked at him shyly and nodded. "I'm an avatar," Dusk said. "I can recognize the four elements of earth, wind, water and fire. The next avatar won't come for 100 years." The man seemed impressed. ”

Readers of the Dallas Observer later wrote in to inform the newspaper that the child's response appeared to be taken from the storyline of Avatar: The Last Airbender; a children's cartoon showing on Nickelodeon at the time of the interview.

If you ask me i'd say that people are growing more stupid. Hopefully this indigo crap is true, maybe it will counteract it.

Well I don't know which outlandish source is saying 99 percent, if that were true people wouldn't be acting the way they are....I know when someone is of diffrent 'spirtuality' level and I can tell you right now when I see it in a kid or not, and no just because it says Indigo child doesn't mean you have to be a child. Personally, labeling someone this does absolutely nothing, and in some cases is an excuse for their uncontrolled behavior.
