In a sworn statement to authorities Lynne Margulies has admitted to shaving Andy Kaufman's head leading people to believe it was caused by cancer treatment.

“He (Andy Kaufman) wanted to collaborate on something really fantastic and enormous, but we could never figure out what it would be. I certainly enjoyed his talents and the quiet nature of some character's and the out and out lunacey of other's. What a range he had. I hope wherever Andy may be, that he is happy and at peace with his choice's.

I agree that he was a very talented individual. Also Jim Carrey did an excellent job portraying him.
