Do any of you think that there will ever be another God?
GrayTone
Well first do you have proof that there's a god now?
Yelekiah
As long as there is the God Gene it is a possibility imo. But I doubt it.

wrong topic i think...theres one god I think huh.gif
Nadia Blue
Well, what do you mean exactly? Do you mean another god as opposed to the Christian god? There's already a few gods hanging around. Buddha, Allah, whatever. I'm not comprehending.

EDIT: Yeah, wrong section. wink2.gif We still love ya anyway.
AnuKabal
What do you mean, there are different gods then there used to be, so someone could have vision from new gods
frogfish
Probably not.
angrycrustacean
If you mean another Christian God replacing the current one, then no, I don't think so. God according to Christian doctrine is beyond time and such, and as the only Christian God there's nobody else to challenge him as top dog.

As for the ideology of the current Christian God, or any god for that matter, then yes, they will change or replace to suit the needs of our times, just like they have in the past. The Christian god today is a far cry from the God of, say, Moses' time.

Edit: This is about the third topic I've seen you post in the wrong forum, and once you've posted a duplicate to a thread directly below. Are you not familiar with how forums work? laugh.gif

Does anyone actualy know why we have a God gene? Why do we evolve to the point where we actualy question an afterlife and God. This can be a very bad thing for surviving. Not fearing death, and actualy wanting to leave your physical body.

Maybe evolution is a grand plan. happy.gif

Perhaps. I've never understood why religion and evolution are viewed as incompatible. The simple answer could be that God set evolution in motion. Personally neither ID or evolution sound like good explanations, to me at least.
ShaunZero
Me either. Evolution does not explain how life got here, only how it evolved once being here.

what is the God gene? i have heard about it but what is it and is it scientifical, spiritual or both?
ShaunZero
Scientifical I believe. I think it's a gene that some people have and others don't. And those that have it are more likley to believe in some form of God or higher force.

wow thats really interesting yes.gif i wonder if maybe these people have them for a reason? thanks zero thumbsup.gif i just thought of a bunch of interesting theories with this God gene.. .if you are correct
ShaunZero
I thought the same thing. WHY do we have them? Do a google search. =P

A God gene??

Realizations or anything to do with what goes on inside a person's thoughts have nothing to do with genes...genes only control physical characteristics molded before birth.

i think uh, some people don't believe in god and some do.....lol, everyone has different opinions about everything. Humans have just developed to the point where we have the time and capacity to ponder why things are the way they are. The simplest way of seeing things of course being that a divine entity created all that exists. It' an explanation requires no proof and readily explains all natural occurences without having to actually explain them.

huh.gif ANOTHER GOD? or return of God like through Christ?

We have the God of the Christians, Muslims and many uncountable Gods for different religions. I believe that they are all the same... I don't know why but I really think they are just all the same. They just got different experiences or belief from Him. That made them all different.

By the way about that God gene, do we need it? what for?

i think our perception of any god is off kilter, i think qwe were visited by peoples or aliens with acess to flying machines weither it be spacecraft , time travellers whatever i dont know, anyhow they made contact with the humans of that time an we mistakenly not knowing any better or what or how something can fly, automatically associated this with the feats of a greater being ,ie god. rember in the old bible many gods are mentioned as in many other religions. but hey thats just my theory. i wonder more, if these gods really wanted us to fight and argue over them or are they so ashamed of our behaviour they dont show them selfs.
