I'd say it's a ghost plane though i've never heard of it.

That's just a planes shadow with sun reflecting upon the bottom making a rain-bow effect on the ground.

I would think that this was the reflection of the plane, relfecting off of the lense, and somehow getting caught in the photo. Perhaps the reflection of the reflection was reflecting off the window they were shooting out of.

Well I wouldn't try going into detail now, but I think we can just leave it simple. It's the shadow of the plane.

I believe it's light reflecting off the plane, somewhat like a rainbow shows it's colors. If that makes sense. I don't, however, feel it's a ghost plane.

I'd say that this is the shadow of the plane, given the angle of the Sun to the aircraft. The shadow on the portside wing gives a good idea of the angle of the Sun and corresponds to where the shadow SHOULD be on the ground. The "ghost" plane is where the shadow should be and the shadow or "ghost" image of the starboard wing seems to follow the undulations of the ground surface. I'd say that picture was taken from a satellite in orbit and the colouring of the shadow may be due to enhancement work and may even be affected by the temperature of the ground, according to what system the camera was using. As seen from 1694 and 1280 feet and the commercial jetliner appears to be in level flight....hmmm

Why would you even question this? What are the odds both planes would be EXACTLY the same!?! The only thing weird about this is why you would post a picture of what is so obviously a shadow and claim it may be a ghost.

Just got one question...if that is not a distorted picture of the shadow of the plane then where is the shadow of the plane because there would be one. And from where the sun appears to be coming from that would be exactly where the shadow should be.

Yeah, I think its a shadow effect with the camera.

I agree with everyone else. I do not see anything paranormal here. What I do see is the plane's shadow.

I'd say that it is an optical illusion, not an actual "ghost"

I help you out really quick, this picture and others similar are all taken with satellites, programs such as google earth use the same idea. They are lots and lots of pictures all taken by different satellites in different places and put together as to create a kind of photographic map. The image you are looking at is an effect that is created by several satellites taking pictires of a moving object, for some reason this is an effect you get. check this out...http://www.gearthblog.com/blog/archives/2005/12/planes_in_fligh_1.html

It's just a shadow.
Example: Like a car that is parked outside when it has rained.
Then when you drive the car away you see a dry mark.

The planes brighter than the landscape around it, considering the view I'd say it was a strange flaring of the origional plane thats actually there reflecting the sunlight and being captured in what appears quite an odd way, especially since it is identical in shape and direction when both are overlayed on top of each other.

I agree, to even suggest that this is a "ghost"..........please..........how many machines do you know of that would firstly: have a ghost*chuckles*.............secondly: how many ghosts have you witnessed......OF OBJECTS STILL ALIVE/IN USE?????!!!!!!!! wouldn't the plane have to have been destroyed to have a ghost?

I just find the idea of a ghostly "airplane" as ridiculous as a "Jolly Roger" sighting IMO.

Yeah me too. It seems like people will say anything is a ghost without really thinking about what they're talking about!

Looks like a shadow of the plane and nothing else. Doesn't seem like anything paranormal to me.
