I rented this last night, out on DVD recently, Venom, a horror movie about the town loner and redneck, who dies trying to retrieve a suitcase filled with snakes used in Voodoo, to remove the evil from men after they have died, so their souls can move on. These snakes kill the redneck and turn him into this monster, seeking revenge on the Voodoo priestess who would perfom the ritual, and along the way, kills many town teens.
I liked the atmosphere, set in the Bayoo of Louisianna, swamp lands and cypress trees, old houses and cemeteries filled with Voodoo-ism.
It's another take on the FReddy/Jason type evil monsters, but it was good! I like the story-line. And the research on the voodoo was at least accurate, not that I'm an expert on the subject, it's a good movie topic.

at least, I enjoyed it.
