This has probably been on here a hundred times! But, for those who haven't seen it. I thought it was an interesting thing to read. It may have already been proven a hoax?

But, here it is http://ufocasebook.com/caponi.html

The eyes look photo shopped!

believers and debunkers, feed back welcome...

Does anyone know if this has been proven as a hoax?? That is wild.

Good God!

This thing looks like a giant turd!

First of all, McKenna, grow up rolleyes.gif ...

Second of all... Here is a website that summarizes the account pretty well, IMO... This case has always interested me, because it is one case with good clear photos, and a detailed description of the alleged events. I will not go too far as to say, that I believe this is an actual documented encounter with an alien entity, but it is interestingly unsolved... Thanks for bringing this up again, it's a good case thumbsup.gif

The story is good as it is, and photos are like icing on the cake... I believe without the photos as in most cases, it would be hard to believe. If it's a hoax. Its a good one!

Thanks for the link!

LOL BIG time at some of the posts in here on what this looks like! "ugly bugger" and "turd" descriptions cracked me up!

If these are "real" it is sad to see them burned up. Since they do not look "normal" to us, we find them odd looking, joke, and believe these are probably a hoax.

If for instance these were actually HUMANS and burned up, we would feel differently.. (I for one would not feel comfortable looking at a human burned up)

This article posted in here reminds me of another article I recently read here (with images and observations)

"Mysterious Entities Photographed
in March of 1970 "

why does the alien look dead in all the pictures? hmm.gif
Blazar
After reading mind freaks link. This Caponi gentleman did have an art workshop. He was also an artist who had sculpted things in the past? The family seems to back the stories though. When you have that many people sticking to the same story it makes you wonder.

Are there any other documented cases as good as this one?

Especially the one where he's laying down with his legs in view. He almost looks glossy! Or like clay. The eyes in all of the photos seem pasted on too. They don't have depth or a flash in them. Not like the rest of the body...

I have visited the sites provided by Mind, and Blazar. (thanx, interesting) as well as Cinders.

I can't guess what it is, but I was left with four nagging ideas.
  1. The bit about him being an artisan, suspicious, but not a deal killer
  2. This thing seems to have been making himself quite at home. Why could it not be captured, at least on video tape? Convenient that only a polaroid was available. Even a camera that could take several pics in rapid succession would have demonstrated animation.
  3. This all happened in 1993. What follow-up has been made since? Why is this not a big story?
  4. The creature looked to be in horrible physical shape. Wounded even. Yet it is described as moving quickly. The desciption makes me think it is agile. Yet from the way it looks, I have a hard time picturing it walking, let alone running.

Ok, that's the skeptic's POV. I'd still like to visit this guy and check out the location. Maybe the critter is still around...or maybe he snuck in during the night and phoned home... user posted image

run run as fast as you can, can't catch me i'm the gingerbread man.

looks like someone tried to make a Gingerbread Fetus.

Good points Rykster..

Back in the early 90's wasn't only the VHS Video Cameras available? I only have one because I won it in an AT & T employee national contest. When I received it in 1990, it was valued at $1,400. (heavy bugger, but it does excellent videos compared to our digital video cameras)
I am not so sure the average person out there could always afford a video camera back then. I myself still have the same Poloroid camera this guy had to take those pictures. Not the best camera to use and the film cartridges for it were quite expensive but then again, you did not have to take the film in to have them developed.

What ever this thing was, it does not look like the "greys" that we've all read about. The arms seem too short - the limbs are pretty thick. The head seems more in perportion to it's body.

The last photo of it, where it stands, looks a bit fake.. like someone made the ugliest wax figure of an Alien. But lets say it was an Alien- possibly it looks like this because "it" was wandering around and this alien is having bad adverse affects due to our oxygen and atmosphere? Just a thought..

Good points!

He also has what appears to be tubes running into his chest. Could this be some sort of suit that was melted from a crash? Maybe the real alien is inside?
Knightmeir
No visible nipples either.

Yeah, looks like a burn victim... But, that's just what it looks like. Not saying one way or the other on this one.

The chin-mouth area looks almost reptilian to me... Anyone else see that? ph34r.gif

Yes, I would agree with reptilian. Someone was talking about its movements. For as little as the body is, it has large calf muscles. If it were alive and running i'd bet it pretty quick. Something has happened to this little guy though. I don't know what his normal state might look like. But, it does appear to be disfigured. The lower leg is defined and the upper thigh appears melted or something.

Going on the chance that it could be real? Caponi has guts! I don't think I would have gotten that close to it..

Caponi seems to think it was in a 'body-wrap' kind of bandage, or some kind of clothing... That may account for the disfigurement (on some of the body), but I would agree, this does look burnt or something... But since it doesn't appear to be human, making assumptions going by human anatomy is the wrong thing to do...

I also meant to add.. on one of the pictures from Mind Freaks link.. you can see a bit of RED blood on the lright leg...

Do Aliens have RED blood?

They do if they have hemoglobin.

I think its a hoax because why would an alien just randomly appear in some guy's house?

That is one gingerbread man that need not worry about having his head bitten off by a kid.

Well, apparently there were a number of UFO sightings over the area of Caponi's house... I guess one of them crashed, and a few days later, the "creature" appeared... There is a more detailed description of the happenings in the website I posted a few posts back...
BigDaddy_GFS
This is an interesting case. I'm surprised there has been no follow-up.
An ET? A man in a suit? A series of sculptures or mannequins?
This needs more investigaiton.

We don't know for certain that there has been no followup. There may have been, but found nothing. That would be much less likely to hit the press than the original story.

It looked to me like someone was messing around with an inflatable doll coated with something to make it appear 'alien'.

LOL!

These pictures definately look like models to me, and they just don't look "lively". The fact that the guy is an artisan is damn suspicious.
