Hazz... Granted: there is no "Exhibit A" in evidence which removes all doubt. Can we simplify this and agree that the universe (multiverse) is "dizzy with possibilities?"

I agree, the possibilities are as endless as the universe it self. We are new arrivals on the technological scene. Our strut and fret on the galactic stage has just begun. Just imagine the discoveries in the next 100-200 years. original.gif

Universal Translator Might be Needed to Understand ET.

The fields of anthropology and archaeology also offer analogies to understanding "the Other," beings radically different from ourselves. In the process, they may provide insights into communicating broader notions of culture, thereby increasing the likelihood that messages will be intelligible. Simulations based on anthropological models of first contact between terrestrial cultures, for example, might help evaluate the adequacy of current protocols that guide responses to detecting a signal from extraterrestrials.

Universal translator? So star trek, I'm surprised you didn't mention 'Inertial Dampeners'

Oh I get it, because mainstream science mentions it, then it's ok.
See, anything ET related is going to sound like sci-fi in some way or other.

I suppose a lie detector could be a precurser to a universal translator of some type.
