Every once in a while, I'll have dreams that are so realistic, when I wake up, for a moment I'm shocked to find myself in bed and wonder how I got there.

For example, one night I dreamed I woke up and went through my morning routine. I got dressed brushed my teeth etc and then went out the door to go to class. The next thing I know I wake up and think, "Didn't I just do this?" and go throught my routine again, but then as go out the door, I wake up again and the same thing happens. Three times I dreamt that I woke up and got ready for class. When I really did wake up I was rather bewildered and wasn't sure if I was still dreaming or not. It was surreal.

Then there are times that I have realistic work dreams. I dream that I wake up, get dressed, go to work and then the rest of the dream I'm at work and I always dream that I'm having a bad day. It's so annoyingly realistic and mundane that I never feel rested. The worse thing is, when I wake up I feel like I just finished an 8 hour shift, not a night of sleep.

Also once in a while, I'll have a dream like that, and then something will happen, or I'll see someone I never saw before in my life and the next day it'll happen and I get a serious case of deja vu.

Anyway, these dreams annoy the heck out of me because like I said, I never feel rested after having them. Just thought I'd share.

I think if you're sleep walking and you're dreams are realistic; well then it might be because your dreams are real. yes.gif

It's called Vivid dreaming. It's only happened to me once.

If that's the case, then my boss owes me money. grin2.gif

I think it's just because my life is so routine right now. I hate it. My mind isn't being challenged at all and work is the epitome of routine. I'm kind of in limbo right now and that sucks.

Lol, you should be getting a good pay. It's pretty freaky how you see people in your dreams and then again when you are really awake. You should try play around with it like i don't no open up a book and don't look at what page it's on, and then when your asleep but think your awake have a look at the page num (if the book is in your dream) and then when you really do wake up see if the page was right or something. Just a suggestion grin2.gif . I've had dreams similar but i know that i am sleeping yet am controlling and feeling the dreams like its real, the flying ones are the best. yes.gif

I've had some really realistic dreams. A funny example is the "getting up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night" dream. I was dreaming about getting up out of bed, walking to the bathroom, turning on the light, and the rest.....only to wake up while wetting the bed... That was a very realistic one...right down to the cold tile floor and the squinting when I turned on the bathroom light. ohmy.gif

Come on.....some one else has had this dream. I can't be the only one!

I hate it when this happens, I remember one time in particular, I went through an entire day of school, in my sleep, nothing unusaul, nothing entertaining, and I could vividly see all the work I was doing and all the homework that was assigned, it was a terrible day. Then I woke up and had to do it all over again.

Lol, same, I had a dream I was in school, and I didn't do homework, or I had a project due, or had to take a test. Then I'd wake up with my heart racing because that what happens when I found out about something due that day I didn't do lol.

I use to have many dreams involving recieving new video games.. and I'd dream that I put them under the bed. When I would wake up, confused thinking the dream was real.. I'd check under the bed to make sure, but sadly nothing would be there.

When you're dreaming, you can't really "think" imo. You don't stop in the middle of your dream and say.. "Hmm.. is this really happening?". The story just continues and you accept everything what is happening as a reality.

I am on medicine right now and I have a hard time knowing it was a dream. Like, I might have told my husband or kids something iin a dream, and then when I am awake I get upset at them because they don't remember me telling them. huh.gif

The only truly realistic dreams I've had have been when I've had short-term precognition - e.g I had a vivid dream I was in Paris, being pursued by an Arab with a gun. I had to run for my life - then I felt incredibly sad and woke up. In my dream I was a tall blonde woman in nice clothes. The following morning I was told Princess Diana was dead, and I'm convinced that, although my dream did not reflect the reality of what happened, I did in some way pick up on her state of mind.
My husband did a 'going to work' dream, and at the end he was in a plunging lift. The next day, he went thru exactly the same events - until he got to the lift. Wisely, he took the stairs. The lift cable broke (it was an old building) and plunged to the ground extinguishing the lives of 3 people. That was 'true' precognition, but the other kind may be us 'tuning in' to other peoples' thoughts.
The one that worries me is one I had in the mid-80s. Simply put, they dropped the 'big one' and I was back where I grew up, running for my life with this great firestorm rolling towards me. I knew I wouldn't outrun it - I felt the heat as it caught me up, then it went black and I woke up. My back actually felt hot! It left me badly shaken. Did I 'see' a future event? Not like me - I usually 'see' them at, or just before, the time they happen. So perhaps someone was poised with their finger over the button at that moment, but chose not to go ahead ... hope that's all it was! Never forgotten it though.

One time a had a dream where i felt pain
Yelekiah
Dreams like that can be scary. You wake up confused like...why am I here?
Pain may have to do with lactic acid.

yes.gif I have them like once a month. The only difference is I don't remember the dream until it happens for real. When it does I find myself saying," Hey, that was in my dream," and I specifically remember dreaming it and waking up from the the dream. About a year ago I remember dreaming about sitting on a stool in an unfamiliar class and looking across the individual tables to see a tall man slap another man with red hair. When I recieved my new cource schedule and visited the room center. I sat down among few familiar faces and then looked across the wooden individual tables. Right when I viewed the assult, the dream came to me in a flash. Weird Huh? happy.gif
