Who do you believe in? Is it Buddah, Jehova, or Jah? Or Allah? Is it Jesus? Or God...Or is it just yourself??
Whatever it may be. ( despite similarities in sound ) We all believe in something.

In reference to the original post, I think people do because self-preservation is instinctual.
