All I can say is, ever since hearing of this "initiation" thing back in the day (newly "made" gang members drive at night without lights on, you flash your lights to let them know, they follow and kill whoever flashed them) I've been flashing lights at EVERYBODY just hoping they to prove this true, so far noone has ever chased me down and attempted to kill me, although they do occasionally wave. Now i'm not just doing this in rural kansas. I've done this at least a thousand times in Washington DC, NYC, Baltimore, Atlanta, Dallas, New Orleans...so I"m guessings its a fraud.

There are so many ways that this post is wrong. Some many ways.

1. I'm positive I saw this on BBC or ITV news, very credible sources.
2. If it is true, the chances of it happening to you are extremely low, more than 1:1000.
3. Don't you think that there may be a much safer way to do what ever it is your doing?
4. No matter what happens, the only way you can come to a conclusion on this by doing what you're doing, is if you do get shot, there's no possible way you can disprove it unless you flash every single driver in the world.

Anyways, I've only heard of it as a Urban Legend, not anything real. If it is real, it's probably concluded to only two- or fewer gangs.

I actually saw something on this legend on Nation Geo one time.
There was a interview with a detective of the LAPD.
He said never in the history of the LAPD has there been a report or an incident like that. (flashing gangmembers)
It has never ever happened.

Whether it is or is not an urban legend, do you really want to die to prove it? A few billion less dumb sperm cells I guess.
