why do people not believe me
Because we are too grown up to believe in Mermaids, Santa and the Tooth Fairy. Mermaids are from stories, as are fairies, gnomes and vampires. These myths are born from imagination not fact. We can determine between the two.
I would be over the Moon if you story could even possibly be true. An Ocean full of topless hotties sounds more like Heaven than Earth though.
Not enough woman, not enough fish, Bwahahahaha, that just isn't going to get old

if I was talking about seeing a bigfoot more people would believe me
No -
SOME people would believe you. Bigfoot spotters have to provide just as much proof as Mermaid spotters. I see your point though, instant possibility with Bigfoot, no possibility with a Mermaid. That would be attributed to the thousands of documented Bigfoot sightings in comparison to a few old sailors stories.......The net is not very friendly when Googling mermaid proof......
That Tsunami fake is a shocker isn't it, not much better than PT Barnums Feejee Mermaid, and that was made ages ago.

I mean just cause i sounds a little far fetched doesn't mean it isn't true
Hrrmzzz, far fetched is just a little light on methinks. How about, way out there? A public beach with spectators, one ten year old and 'someone else' are the only witnesses to what is the most amazing discovery this Century, redifing mankind WHOOPS LOST THE PROOF, deary me, where did that pulitzer winning prize photo go

, I must have misplaced it!!

well, those scientist people will just have to listen to my tale now- all that jazz, yeah, makes it so unlikely that it is probably not true. Heck, Im gonna go out on a limb here and say, it is not true.

it was no mind trick people
What then, mistaken identity? Hoaxer? Deprived teen who feels there is aenough vampires in the forums (if that is the case, at least you are creative!!) Failing memory????
Nope, not the last, you have a good memory of that day.
You did not see a Mermaid. Shame I know, but you have had a good run with the story. Take Frogfishes hint about burying yourself deeper. Great tale though.
