It is the face of fundementalism that is the same the world over.
It can also be seen in insane rants against Christians and other religious people.
There is a lot to be said for separation of belief/non-belief and state.

That goes far beyond fundamentalism. That's well into the realm of insanity.

My uncle was nearly murdered by his wife when she woke up one night screaming about how he was the devil and had to die. He restrained her and called 911, and she spent a few weeks at the funny farm before coming home on all kinds of medication. It turned out she was schizophrenic, and just like the woman in the video she was extremist Catholic, and would draw insane connections between totally unrelated things; For example, her kids were forbidden to listen to rap since, apparently, that would lead to them using ouija boards.

As a side note, my uncle is still with her.

Quite a few things here...Christians typically portray people who are possessed by daemons...well, like that fat old lady was just acting...Also, she cannot simply proclaim something as dark-sided because she is ignorant of it. She should not have been permitted to take the money afterwards, though she should have been informed of what she would have been permitted to spend it on. Finally, where does this fat woman live? Those Extreme-Christian people simply LOVE me...They tell me that I am a witch, or a daemon, and persecute me upon sight. I was once seriously warned not to enter a church for assistance in a small task for risk of being burned...

Come to think of it, she would love the inside of my home. After all I have far more than any "Gargoyles"...that is how I obtained the photograph in my avatar...a paperweight mainly, but it impresses visitors.

She's obviously uneducated, ignorant, a drama queen and an attention seeker.

I can't believe people like this are alive...almost certainly carried through life first by their parents and later by their husbands.

I would have suggested that she step out of her comfort zone, experience culture, learn respect for other peoples beliefs, learn that there are other things outside of her quiet in-bred town, learn the ABC's, but that would be a waste of my time. People like her are so pathetically ignorant.

This woman in the video did mention gargoyles, didn't she. That's amusing since gargoyles were often used to decorate catholic cathedrals. They were used to ward off demons, I believe.

A prime of example of Religious fear. A fear that would kill another person and be justifyed by it.
That poor woman is so consumed by her own fears that she forgot her Christian values. What happened to love 'thy neighbour'?

About the only people I know of who can do intervention with this type is another type of Christian that hand leads them all the way out.
That is a lot of time and commitment.

as mentionned by others, what I find sad is the children witnessing her outrage look traumatized. I didn't see the whole episode, I sort of wish I had. But it's like they don't understand why she's freaking out like that, neither do I for that matter. Sure everyone is allowed their opinion, but this, is nuts.
