BUNGLING burglars used a blowtorch to cut open a cash machine — and set fire to £53,000 inside it.

The dopey crooks attacked the ATM after breaking into a Budgens supermarket in the tourist town of Bradford-on-Avon, Wilts.

Cops called to the shop found it full of smoke and littered with pieces of singed banknotes.

The gang also stole booze, cigarettes and food worth more than £7,000.

They probably thought the money inside would be in another box. Unless there was one and they cut through that too.
