My mom had 2 extra ribs. She needed surgery to remove both at age 20, as they became extremely painful.

About the rib thing- I'm not sure, but I thought I read something somewhere that women have an extra rib then men do (not sure) and that was because of the rib that God took out of Adam to create Eve, and the reason men have the Adam's apple and woman don't was that when Adam bit into the Forbidden Fruit a piece of it was stuck in his throat
