"from his mouth issued a sharp two-edged sword"

i know this means the word of god, but can someone explain the symbolism?

Its hard to tell with Revelations. its all just representation and lingo.

However just according to a study bible I still have this is what it saids;

"The sharp two edged sword that comes out of Christ's mouth is the two-edged sword spoken of in 1:16. STRIKE THE NATIONS may be a general statement of judgement or specific reference to the armies of the earth being, 'killed with the sword'"


Notice the reference said, "may." Even the study bible claims to not be sure....

Not certain, but it might be a representation of the other two of the holy trinity in the Lord, showing how what is to come is the punishment of all(of the holy trinity)/the ONE God.
