I have been wiccan for a few years now and i have come to believe that I am a water element out of air, fire, water and earth. Now I have read in a few books that Aquarians are water bearers but an air element.I have also been told this at my local newage store but i'm absolutly sure im a water element none the less.Water itself invinagorates me and just lifts my spirits.I love the ocean the rain and anything else that has to do with water. It is what gives me the most energy out of all the other elements.

So my quastion is can you still be the water element even though your astrological sign says your an air element?

weel i guess. i don't think it matters.

I didn't know aquarius was an air element. blink.gif That explains why I love the wind, storms, and cloudy days.

I think so. And perhaps it also ties into the moon sign.

Air is the element that can take on the atributes of all the other 3 elements. It is the hardest to visualise or sense because it can feel like either Water, Earth or Fire and has no real sense of it's own.

I was under the impression Aquarius is a water sign.

Just because your star sign represents a certain element does not mean you are of that. My friend is a Virgo -an earth sign- but she is a water element.

Really, trust your feelings, no one but the goddess knows you better than yourself.

Well - astrologically I am an earth sign, but I identify with the element of fire more than any.

Thanx for your insites guys,i have always felt i was a water element, and not because my sun sign is the water bearer either(aquarious)Thiere supossed to be air but "I" am a water element and now i'm even more sure of it.I was also wondering if ESP is a big role in wicca.Reason being,I notice a lot of it has to do with the power of word concept (I.E. spells)Also energy play has to do with the minds ability to increase it electrochemicals in your body at will.I have a lot of different views on these types of thing wich brings me to the conclussion that i am of my own type of Neopagan religion blink.gif I guess its not really a bad thing to have such an open mind on these kind of things,is it?

There are soo many versions of witchcraft, and really, every witch is alittle different. My coven is filled with different views, beliefs and personalities... I wonder how we all get on so well tongue.gif But I suppose the mixture makes our magick all the more potent.

Also psi, esp, intuition... all of it is central to witchcraft. It's like a connection to the world around you... to feel the inner biorhythms of fate and nature. Know yourself, know the world and know your craft, people!

Happy witching!

Don't have time to comment, but you really ought to read into astrology more. You're solely referring to your Sun sign (forget what it's called, maybe rising...) anyways, each planet, the moon, and a few other elements are also taken into account in traditional astrology. Do a google search for astrological charts and put your date, time and location of birth and if you found the right program it should tell you if you are "supposed" to be water or air or whatever. I'm sure that I'm just skimming the surface though. btw, most astrology is Indian, so it kinda sounds more like you might be more new age than purist wiccan, not that that's bad, just something to consider. *editing* I guess that's an off topic food for thought of "what is a 'wiccan' practitioner" and while I realize there's lots and lots of flex for that, when you begin to incorporate eastern concepts with your spirituality, you're creating a new and hopefully improved mixture.

I've actually been thinking about it a lot, and despite that I am a fire element based on my astrological sign, I'm fairly certain that I am a water element. In fact a lot of people guess that I am a Capricorn (earth) or Cancer (water).
