I got this idea from watching ABC's 20/20 about
Postcard Confessions. I think it's a great idea, not sure if this thread has already been done though. I mean it'll help make you feel better I guess.

I'll share one of my secrets and yes I have tons

. Is that a good thing, I have no idea
One of my secret is that, I started weightlifting and excercising almost a year ago, because I started to become self-conscious about how I looked.
Although, excercise is good for you, especially when you're eating and sitting at the computer or tv. Not that I'm heavier than normal.

That was a pretty decent one.

I don't think I'd like 200 postcards a day in my mailbox though.
A secret of mine, is I sang Back Street Boys - "I want it that way" at the W.I.R. (race track) after party for a race for karaoke on a dare and I was 100% sober.

I've sung some backstreet boys songs too Except it was at a friends house. We used to have karoake parties and have drinks, and I was sober

I just like singing...

Just a note before I tell my secret...
In some parts of South Africa inter-racial relationships are still frowned upon. Although we have had about 11 years of Democracy, and we are supposed to be the "Rainbow Nation", many of the older people (those that grew up during the Apartheid years) still remain racist towards people of color. (Most of the older folks are also prejudiced against: gays, lesbians, etc. In fact against anything they don't understand!)
I am "white", born into a racist family. I'm not allowed to have friends of color.
My big secret?
My BF is African. We've known each other for close to 3 years, and we used to work together.

Happy Birthday Lady Darkness.
Here in the America, attitudes over inter-racial dating have changed in the past 20 years. Use to be it was frowned upon: Now it seems to be the norm for White Girls to have Black BF's. To each their own, I guess. My secret is: I never had the desire to date a Woman of Color. I just find White Girls more attractive. My Aunt married a Black Man. I have 3 half white, half black Cousins, which are fine kids, though there are a lot of health problems. I wonder if they are genetic.
Oh well, Happy Birthday.

Another secret is I don't like eating in front of other people. I'd rather watch TV then watch someone eat - more entertaining. And also when I'm at the table with my friends they eventually gossip about other people, when they have nothing else to talk about and I hate that.

I married my High School Sweetheart's Mother.
It's a long story, one I don't dare recount. All I can say Is I sum the whole ordeal up to Mental Illness on all of our parts.
My Second Secret is: The whole ordeal emotionally scarred me to the point since my Divorce in 1990, I haven't went on one date, with one woman.
And I guess my Third Secret would be: I have trust issues.
This post is open to interpretation, but please don't judge me. When you were Young, you did stupid stuff too!

I can read a book a day. I usually read a book in a single sitting. I have for years now and most people think I'm weird. Hmmm...maybe it is no secret that I am. But people don't have any idea.

I used to be a workaholic to pass the time (in fact it was to an unhealthy point-used to work three shifts sometimes)

A secret about myself? Alright, I learned pyrotechnical skills at age 14. Er, I have a short attention span and it takes me 1-10 weeks to read a book pending on its size. Reading makes me sleepy. Also, I try to lack as many shifts as possible. I'm really more Scot-Irish than German, however I stress German as my main heritage. I can't really speak German, I use a online translator. Eh, can't think of anything else.

Hmm, a secret of mine... I... CAN'T... SNAP... MY... FINGERS... (That's another reason why the OSNAP pic was disturbing me, AC)
and it really irritates me that I can't do so, hope my friends never find out about that or they will take revenge on all the times that I annoyed them for any reason (like calling them asthmatics a LOT, and in various irritatible ways, asthmatic people are the worst!)
I also hate the possibility that they might see this post, but they rarely come on UM, so I think I am safe...

Yet another secret:

I drove my parents car, without a liscence. My mom found out and drove our second car to look for me. I saw her and she saw me. And I quickly drove away. Funny thing is, I slowly drove past a police car with policemen right outside. (Luckily, I didn't get into any accidents, thank my province for Graduated Driver's Liscence program

) They didn't really pay attention seeing as they had their own problems.
I'm sure you know what happened next -- hell broke lose at home

.
Why did I drive the car? Because me and friends wanted to do something and no one wanted to drive us. Now that I'm older and have my liscence I'm too lazy to drive.

My next Secret: I hate being in cars with people with road rage - like some of my family members and friends. I mean damn, it's not like you're being killed

Take it easy people. Especially when I'm driving and they still have road rage! Damn that's annoying

My secret is... I hate daylight; I mostly stay indoors until the sun goes down. For some reason to much light really irritates me, I often feel out of place and clumsy during the day, not to mention distant and irritable. I find myself leaving my apartment after 9:00pm and returning home at about 7:00am. I really enjoy the nightlife, everything just seems so much more peaceful and quiet (and beautiful), and I also chose to work a graveyard shift.
I wish my friends wouldn’t call me vampire though. I mean… is it a crime to enjoy the night?

Well, I am a straight guy, and I can't 'fall in love' with anyone on the 'other side' due to the complication of breaking up with someone- we have to seperate as mutual friends. I haven't been physically sexually involved with anyone ( in a way I wanted ) since '96. I do have a way to go out with two women at once- which is lesbian on the other side, and at the same time a 'bi-female' kind of way which really helps from the other perspective.
I would have to say -
Because it hasn't been the way I physically wanted things to go on for so long... I would'nt know what
is better.....just yet....

I will tell all a funny - 'almost caught by the cops story'. One night I was walking down the road a few years ago out of the house, and I had taken one sip out of a 40 oz. and recapped it - had a large puffy military jacket on enough to put it in my pocket and cover with my hand/forearm so no one could see it. I was going out to a bike path to meet my best friend for a few drinks out in the night - we were going to meet halfway.
All of a sudden a town cruiser pulls up- flashes the light on me.( I'm like

!!!! ). So they tell me to step about ten feet from the car and to stand and face them. Then the guy says 'stay there for a minute'. I'm like o.k. then he radios on something. He goes 'come over here'. He gets my name, and then I'm like 5 feet from the cruiser on the other end of the road.
He radios in my name, as he's doing it, his eyes go to the computer and - that is when I make my move. ( the only chance ). It was really snowy on the ground so I was like pulling my 40 out and then backwards. A nice little backwards throw into the woods & thick snow.
Poof.

The sound proofing of the snow saved me that night it was crazy how I got away with it.
So he's like getting out after, I was like what's this about? He's like 'we had a call about a prowler down the road, and we were wondering if it was you'. 'Where do you live & where are you going?' So I told him.
The guy breathalized me. He's like 'o.k. your over the limit'. ( since I already drank a 40 anyway.& this is the TEXAN Fort Worth style 411 8.0% Steel Reserve mind you!! )

So he's like 'go back home' - I'm like 'fine'.
The next two days go by - I was driving back home one day.
Lo &' behold, there it is after the snow melted that same 40 oz untouched. I was like YES!!!!!So I got out - took it home, it was still cold, still good, and I sat & drank it & REVELED.
That was sssoooooo close.
