Hello everybody!
At 5:30am UK time this morning (4th March 2006)I was leaving for work, I walked outside to my car to discover fresh snow has fallen since last night, as my car was covered in snow (I arrived at home at 8pm the previous night)
I started my car up to heat up my car and remove some of the snow/ice from my windscreen. After this I walked towards my gate which was 12-14 feet behind my car (My car has to be this far inside in order to shut the gate, as it's huge lol)
Walking towards the gate I noticed some very odd footprints scattered around the small area. I won't bother describing them as you can see perfectly in the pics I took on my phone. All I will say is that these prints were longer than my foot (I am size 11 UK shoe) and they were perhaps an inch or two longer than my feet.

Prints like these were scattered rather randomly, with no obvious trail, any trail I tried to follow didn't seem to go anywhere, they just kinda dissapeared onto odd bit of non snow-covered ground. Here is a pic of another print, in the top left corner you can see half of another print. The middle part of the foot, or the "arch" seemed incredibly thin compared with the rest of the foot.

As fresh snow had fallen since I got home last night these had to have been fresh prints on top of the freshly fallen snow, you can see how clear the prints are.
So what do you guys and gals propose these could be? I have no real idea, the only thing I can think of is "Spring Heeled Jack"
http://www.altereddimensions.net/crime/SpringHeeledJack.htmThere has been a known sighting of this strange man/creature within the area several years ago.
Other than that I have no ideas. Maybe someone can shed some light onto these?
Thankyou

Looks like a womans dress shoe...and if its bigger than your size 11, maybe a Man who enjoys wearing womans shoes was walking around...

Irani - I guess you can think what you want, I'm not the type to fake something though :-)
And if this were a woman's dress shoe, surely you'd see the middle part of the shoe? Cos of the heel? And it'd be a beastly sized woman lol!

hughes by hoax I didnt mean you made it like this on purpose, but maybe its some kinda of a coinsidence of something. And you happen to made a photo of it. They look like female shoes, but they are pretty thin though.

Ah I get ya now dude, the only thing with that is there is no evidence of any other people there, no other footprints/tyre marks or anything.

You find the giant one legged woman...and you'll find the killer...I didn't do it sir...it was the one legged woman...likely excuse

It's a pure coincidence they are both the right foot, I just took two pictures of two prints.
I'd appreciate some serious comments please. It obviously wasn't a one legged woman.
EDIT - In the second picture, look to the top left corner, you can see the left foot :-)

case closed, girl on crutches, maybe you just missed the little holes left by the imprint of the crutch....could happen...would explain why only one foot was hiting the ground.

Dude, I just mentioned the left foot. A girl with crutches and huge feet, dressed in stilettos in the garden in the middle of the night? Give me a break.

I used to have some 'winklepicker' boots back in my goth days that left exactly the same footprints, they are pretty flat-soled so there would be no space between the heel print and the sole of the foot. I am a size 10 as well, but with the uber-pointy toe those boots had, they looked bigger. I would say you have a goth in the neighborhood

Hey Hoagy, do you have any pics of the kind of shoe you're talking about? i don't think i'm familiar with them
and yeah, i hate it when you go into a thread and all the posts are just meant to be funny and really don't do anything to help.

ok, here is what we UK goths call a 'winklepicker'

looks like it could be the culprit!

Seriously...you wont accept a girl on crutches in stilettos but you're willing to accept that it was some sort of mythological troll/monster/alien....now ask yourself...out of those options which one is more likely, my vote goes to the girl on crutches...

The location of my house is kinda in the middle of no-where, the nearest house is about a 10 minute walk. A girl on crutches is gonna struggle uphill for about 30 minutes from the nearest town just to walk inside my gate, walk ina few spots and then leave?
The shoe does however look quite likely.

I don't think you faked the photos, dude.
But I agree with the 'one-legged woman theory'. As implausible as it sounds, the evidence adds up.
And if she lost the leg at an early age, she could be very adept at moving up hills, and over obstacles. Such people often develop exceptional balance, and upper body strength to compensate for the lack of a lower limb.

Allo Folks
From looking at the photo's, it seems as though the left footprint is under the tyre print up the left hand side of the piccie.
It's a bit late to look now, unless you still have the original snow there, but at the point where the trail stops, I wonder if there's a small patch of yellow snow....
Not meaning to poke fun by any means, just a thought based on my experience with my neighbours...
Interesting, it looks like it is just a person but the mystery stands at why was someone wandering around your front yard at night when you live heaps away from anyone else?

Hollywood Hughes:
I read of several accounts of tracks being left in the snow by the Devil thoughout the UK!

However, the photos you took don't look like hoof prints to me.
Only one set of tracks egh? How far did you follow the tracks? Where did the tracks lead? Do you live in a rural area or in an urban setting?
Inquiring minds want to know!

I'd vote for the girl as well. course she's hot so she get's my vote by default really...but the pointy shoes look possible as well. i find it a bit difficult to believe in the devil walking around leaving footprints, or trolls or aliens btw...

Yes, I agree how unlikely it is, therefore the only conclusion must be Spring Hell Jack or one of Santa's Elves on growth hormone.

Thoses are some weird prints, but look actually credible, but it looks like most animals or whatever, most of the weight has been put on the back of the foot, but iv never seen anything like that extra slim part in the middle, its rather perplexing!!!
And, yes, i also hate it when someone
consistently posts tryin to be funny, (without succeding to be) and actually adding nothing to the thread, its just spam.

hughes, the spring heeled jack theory is pretty interesting actually. its like a alien/monster version of jack the ripper or something. but i dont think it may have been him.
someone could have just made those as a joke, however, it wouldnt quite explaine why they just seem to disapeare into thin air. also kind of reminds me of the jersey devil foot print sightings. maybe you have one of those over there in the uk. just keep checkin in the future if u find more.

Finally some people are understanding how mysterious it is, I showed the prints to my mum and dad and they also have no clue. Thanks for the constructive input guys!

It sounds like this dude. If he exists could be the devil or a demon. Or something sinester and evil. Because of this:
It was reported that he had large pointy ears and nose, with red glowing eyes, and capable of spitting an odd white and blue flame from his mouth.
But who knows I could be wrong. But that's just me. I don't even know if the dude exists or not.

Then how do you explain the middle part of the shoe being visible in the print?
psyche101
Mar 6 2006, 09:49 PM
Is there any reason to think it may not have been a human in a shoe? Any stange happenings, noises, dead animals etc. etc.
I have seen a stack of womens shoes that would leave that imprint. Taking one leg out, hopping along, perhaps a bit of a skid in the icy conditions to melt into a larger footprint? The yellow snow theory sounds plausible ATM.

You said they were scattered randomly, yes?
So are you sure they weren't made by something non-living?
