Hello All,

I don't make any claim as to what I believe the following footage shows, but it is quite interesting nonetheless. Video's about 4 minutes long and incident occurs just over a third of the way through.

....commentary too!

Enjoy,

Cheers, Rob.

N.B. Maybe it was 'shot down' by something...

THis was posted earlier, don't know when. I think I came off with the impression it was a flare or something, though if this is the case it should be relatively easy to figure out if flares could behave that way (burn with the proper luminescence, initially descend that slow, and break apart in that way). Hopefully someone has a more clear answer.

I really like this footage, first of all the man who is filming keeps the camera on it the whole time, also I CAN"T EXPLAIN IT lol.

Unfortunately the picture is a little fuzzy and the man is a little to calm, if I saw that I would be more enthusiastic than that.

Overall it's a great clip because it looks pretty real, I say.

I hope someone can post more information about this.

It was also filmed on my birthday *lol*

There has been a huge discussion on various sites about what this might have been... I personally have NO clue what it was.

I did find the videographer's report here - shown with pictures and you can download the video as well. :

I don't often watch the lengthy videos, though I might take a peek at some point. Cinders, have you seen any discussing why it could or could not be a flare of some sort? If I see this theory disproved I personally would consider it quite likely a 'UFO'.

Interesting video. Doesn't seem like a flare to me, but what kind of spacecrat[assuming it's one] would act like that as well?

Ball lightning maybe?

I've read various comments on the other thread about this video. One said it was probably a meteor and the "green" we see is due to the copper burning as it enters our atmosphere or something like that??

The guy who did this video has been doing videos and things of this sort for some time I believe. I think he would have called it what it might have been if it were a meteor or what ever.

It is strange that no one else in California reported seeing this.. maybe they did but did not know where to report it etc.

I don't think it was ball lightening.. I wonder what the weather conditions were for that day.. like the temp, the wind direction ect. for that day.. that could also be helpful in figuring what this might or might NOT have been.

what i noticed is that right before it breaks up there were black dots on the UFO

I thought it might have been a flare. It could be ball lightning, too.
