Soul Calibur 2 is already out and the big thing is....i STILL don't have it yet!!
anyone tried it already??how's the game going?? w00t.gif

Engulf, I've played the demo that came with the official PS2 magazine, over here in the UK.

It plays as well as the original on PSone, and it looks awesome. I hope to get it before the end of the year, as long as I'm not skint. original.gif

Cufflink, I've wondered why do people in Europe have to wait longer for new games to come out? Doesn't seem fair.

Or does anyone from Europe know the answer?

Gonzo, mate, we Europeans would love to know the answer, too! grin2.gif

To be fair, a significant number of games are Japanese, so they get released there first. Then we have to wait for the translation, and also we have a different TV set up over here to the states, so you guys, because of the bigger market, get your version first.

We do get some games first, like GTA or other British stuff. And also, we often get an improved version of Japanese games, because the designers have had a second chance to get it right.

Thanks for the info. You guys should have gotten the Getaway first.

I have a gamecube that doesn't get played much. Some good games for that though.Dunno what "best" is. I think that they all have good and bad points.

I spend most my time on the PC now, on the internet, or reading text books.

This has become quite a topic! ohmy.gif 4 pages thus far, and continuing! This goes to show that video games are becoming more popular day after day.... no matter the system!

Games may one day take the place of movies. It would be cool to have a choice of watching a movie, or playing the movie.

Sorry about that, Engulf. Shinji Mikami is the creator of RE, and I switched his name for Kojima's

i still think dreamcast is a great console...and yes i voted for "still have a dreamcast" because i do still have 2 dreamcasts and i still play the many games for it... Recently my mum picked up Sega Marine Fishing, and I must admit, the game is quite addicting! laugh.gif

Xbox, cos you don't need a memory card.

I'd have thought that a disadvantage, snuffy.

I replaced my PS2 some months back, after it conked out (I got it launch day).
If my game saves had been in the console, I'd have been screwed. 100's of hours play on GT, all of my GTA stuff, all those dog tags in Metal Gear...

*shudder*

Doesn't bear thinking about.

Ah, yeah, I see your point, but then again, I don't play many video games in the first place. Just a lot of Hockey and Football games.

All three of the consoles have qualities going for them, the PS2 has backwards compatability with the PS1, and also has lots and lots of cheap games.

The Cube has good games and some very good exclusive ones like Metdoid and Zelda.

The Xbox has the built in hard drive and has the capability of going online.

They also have downsides as well.

The PS2 is the oldest machine and the worst when it comes to graphics, also many of the games are unfinished.

The Cube has many rrubbish games that are direct ports of PS2 titles, instead of having them revamped for the consoles power.

The Xbox is so full of glitches when you go online you have to down load patches for it all the while, also it has many rubbish games also and only about 4 that ar eany good.

Sorry still prefer my PC cant beat it for games... disgust.gif
