I have been devoting my spare time to finding myself. I have been unable to work for 4 years because of an illness. I loved my job, I was a floral shop manager. After being told by my doctors that I could no longer work I went into a depression. I came across the spirituality section at the book store and have bought books on just about every subject. I really FEEL there is something more to what is here on earth. I have been buying alot of Wicca. Before I began reading about it, it was "taboo" to me. 25- 30 books later it feels like it has been with me all along I just didn't realize it. I think there are more people out there that would agree. Too bad that dogamatic influences give it a bad name. And it is kind of ironic that certain religions that give wicca a negative image (due to the Pagan past) are the ones that were involved in the "burning times". Wouldn't that be considered a negative image on them???

My spiritual beliefs are a wide mix of ideas from many religions. I don't believe ONE is right. And I don't believe that what is right for one is right for all. I do believe, however, that more people should practice the wicca "three-fold". What you manifest comes back to thee.

Just a thought!

Why the three fold law? Why not karma?

Hi Nove

I'm the same way as in regards to religion. I don't think it is important for myself in the scheme of things. I believe in everything that is good, kind, loving, and compassionate, how's that? I think once you have these things and practice them from within than the what nots fall away and the what to dos are common sense. Love eachother, respect eachother, give, be kind, be understanding, etc...

I think there are many paths to the goal as long as you are walking towards it why should it matter what road you took? The journey there I think in many ways is more important than the arrival.

I think many people have misconceptions about Wicca. I'm sure like any religion there are people that abuse it but from what Ive read about Wicca its very nature based and nothing like my preconceptions once were. original.gif

I and many I've spoken with have said the same as you, when they found a philosophy that spoke to them personally. Often it's like coming home. I bid you every good thing on the journey. original.gif

They do, in many respects already. Only it's considered as sin and damnation, salvation and reward, karma, etc...
If non-deist, it's reflected in the laws of physics. Action/re-action. Cause/effect.
