Some months ago my fiancee and I and the children decided to go on a camping trip. At the time we had 4 cats and a dog. We knew we wouldn't be gone but a few days and we had the perfect food dispenser to serve more than four cats for twice that long. So instead of having the neighbor come over as we did on long trips we figured the cats would be okay on their own for a few days.
So we load up the dog and everything else and get going. Upon our return to the house we walk in to see the cats completely frightened. Half of them are hiding under the beds and won't come out which was very uncharacteristic. They had also peed everywhere. I thought perhaps they had used up all 6 litter boxes but upon checking the litter boxes there were still 4 that were completely unused. So I'm rounding up the cats and they just have this sheer look of terror right? My fiancee calls me in and shows me that there is a stray cat under our bed. We were both stumped as to how he got in. We thought logically that perhaps when we were loading up the car he snuck in. He was very clean and very pretty and looked well fed.
So we lure him out and decided to put him in the garage, which was clean by the way until we can figure out what to do. It wasn't but 15 minutes later I bring food and water out to the garage and the cat is no where to be found. My fiancee says he hasn't opened the only door into the house and the kids were down the street playing since I put him in the garage so I knew it wasn't them. Again we put him into the garage. We found him in the house again. This time I went out there about ten minutes later to see if he ate the food but again he was gone. I looked everywhere and kept the door closed. We didn't have that much stuff in there to begin with and no car parked in there. My fiancee comes out and looks with me. We searched every corner of that garage and there was no possible way for him to get out. We searched every corner of the house and he was no where. Now it doesn't sound paranormal but how in the world does a cat disappear from a room with no way out?
In that time period we have gotten alot of stray animals showing up at our door and not leaving. Thats how we got the dog in the first place. Stray animals are nothing new for us but ones that vanish? with no way out? Now my fiancee and I are very logical but we had to shrug at this one. What are your thoughts? Have you ever heard of a a paranormal thing like this involving real animals? I'm stumped.
