Your cousin is pulling your leg. No teacher would show these movies unless they want to be fired.

To be honest, exorcism can't be brought into school, there is even a law against that, if your really going to learn about that stuff you need to go to college mainly because the government doesn't pay for it, high school and any other standard school is supported by the government through tax money, but for college you have to pay for it yourself, anyways the law I'm referring too is that the state and the church are to be seperate through the school district, it is 100% illegal to teach exorcism in a public government supported campus, for the law states so.

Being that it is also a free and independent country, everyone is entitled to their own personal belief, even if exorcism could be taught through school, not everyone is going to agree with it, believe in it, and quite frankly will probably offended by it.

And although it may be vital to know as the human race we must also remember this: the world is a world of opinion and conflict, primarly it is a dangerous one.

to be honest, i didn't know it was illegal...nifty. yes.gif though i assumed you wouldn't teach about it, unless you were in like a religions class, then it'd fit, but just an out of nowhere lesson...i don't know.. hmm.gif

A teacher can bring any movies in they'd like. The one thing they are supposed to do is give the students a paper and have their parents sign that paper allowing them to see it. When I was in Highschool, we watched rated R movies many many times.

I have never heard of anything like that, you see while in school I would talk about exorcisms and possession and they consider it "innapropriate" so I would imagine that it goes so far

4 years ago when i was in 9th grade our teacher was suspended for 6 weeks because he let us see 8mile but no paper was sent home about the movies my cousins teacher is going to show them

We used to have to get papers signed, and certain movies weren't allowed under any circumstances. The only time we'd watch an R rated movie was if it related to what we were learning. I'm sure they wouldn't allow those movies to be shown under any circumstances, though. Especially without parental permission.

Im done with school we never even talked about religioun
David_Cubero
angry.gif Well it appears that they can teach anything that they want as long as it has nothing to do with prayer, G-d or whatever.

Maybe it's the fact that I am older, a father and a grandfather,,,but I think that the schools could use a lot of prayers and a lot of G-d!!!
