Sometimes and it only happens when i am super depressed but there have been rare times where i would wake up kinda... my mind was awake but i could not move my body i couldnt even open up my eyes and no matter how much i try and scream or call out or move a finger i cant when i try its like a pain goes to that body part from straining but nothing moves what is that?

I have experieinced this on 3 occassions, this is the spirit of a pasted relative freind someone you know who you have forgotten they have come to you in this fashion to get your attention. Give this some serious thought who have you forgotten Garndparent?

I still say astral projection. It is the inbetween stage when your astral is trying to leave. Do you ever jerk awake and feel like a truck just hit you?

yea my great grands parents my aunt sister ( dont know exactly what she was to me ) but she died... while she was baby sitting me when i was little >.>; um...my moms mom died when i was a baby but i mean what would they want with me? i dont understand

it happened to me once i tired to call for help.....but i could hear myself and it sounded like i was humming, that didnt work so i just concetrated and i was able to break free

Ya this happens to me too, like once every week or two. I dont freak out anymore. I use to totatlly freak out and try to scream and stuff. But normally when it happens when i wake up my mind is really relaxed like in a different state or a trance. Ive gotten to the point where i can move a little so iono if its sleep paralysis. like i can move my hand forward and back a centimeter or two, its weird cause when im there i dont think or really care about much, i generally fall back asleep lol.

It called the "old hag attack" dont worry it just sleep parlysis, your lucky you didn't get the scary version where you see a dark hooded being go on top of you. Anyway don't be scared it usually clears up in a matter of seconds... i actually once had it for about 2 minutes lol.

It happens when your awake but your body is a sleep if you know what i mean,

Every comment you have been adding sounds like astral projection. And sleep paralysis is just another name for astral catalepsy, which is only your astral body exiting your physical body. Do a little research, astral projection is natural and eceryone does it - they just mind not remember.

I think there a several types of sleep paralysis.. the one with the hag... had that experience in a 400 year old hotel that I stayed once on the borders of the black forrest.. woke up feeling this presence on top of me ..it had a waxy red face..dark cloaked..looked like a demon... since then I've seen faces around me morph into that face for a second or two just like in the horror movies.. the impression I got subconsciously is to let me know that they are watching me.. waiting to pounce... scary.. that's lol when your releigious training..faith comes in.. do a quick prayer..call in the light....etc...and you feel safe...

the other is a form of astral .. OBE expereince when your spirit is journeying and hasn't quite returned... Google... (abdominal brain).. etc... it's like we have a safety switche that takes over...keeps the body functioning whilst the spirit takes a break... lol...


I suppose it's how the sub conscious..conscious...and super conscious all work together.. or cover each other..each are partial energies of you ..that work independantly..or together..which I gather is what we are supposed to be working at...


but until then...when the body thinks it's OK it send part of itself off on journeys of discovery...to learn ...meet up with others.. etc.. time is different in these other dimensions...notice how some dreams seem to go on for about a year...and when you wake up it's only been a few minutes..

ya hes right but I dont think it's health haveing your brain awake and ur body asleep I think you guys are missing a couple circuts I would get that chcked out It happend to me once for 15 minnutes but luckely I have heard about it on the radio so I just closed my eyes and went back to sleep cause i know it would go away lol i was like IT HAPPEND TO ME SWEET

Maybe some how your body is slow in waking up like the signals don't get sent right away, like your brain is awake and the body is still asleep...etc.

That is exactly what it is. Also known also the Old hag, and is the same as sleep paralysis. There's nothing paranormal about it.

That sounds like this rare brain condition i hurd about on tv once, there body shuts down, but there mind is still running, like a sortof half-sleep

Sleep paralysis is when the astral body exits. It happends to everyone a few times a week. Sometimes you remember it and sometimes not.

Not exactly rare. It is not paranormal nor is it harmful. Do not worry yourself.

It is very natural and happends often. The only thing you need to do is get over the fear.

I experienced astral projection as a child as well. I had a difficult time explaining to my parents what I was experiencing, they thought it was just a inghtmare. I would project within a few minutes a laying down in bed. It was very scary as a child not knowing what was going on.

Weird, seems like alot of people have described a "hooded figure" and i had a dream where i saw a hooded figure coming at me and i couldnt scream or nothing and i tried with all my might and nothing and it sat next to me and looked at me, and it was a skeleton, i find it kind of weird that the hooded figure is seen in others accounts, while mine was a dream of course.
