Heya,
Was driving by stonehenge with my boyf at about half 7 pm, and something crossed the road that literally looked like a centipede on legs, we didnt stop as we were followed by other cars, and only like 100 yards from a roundabout, anyone know of any big cat sightings in the stonehenge/sailsbury plain area?
Thanks

A centipede on legs? Centipedes are insects, and as far as it is, have legs and lots of them. Closing argument??

......Cats aren't as small as centipedes....... ohmy.gif

A stoat or something? They're about the size of a plausible cat on a road at night and are long and "slinky"...

I'm not suggesting the two are connected but there is a local tale from the Wirral about a similar creture. I will dig out and find the link.

Man finds venomous giant centipede in Britain
LONDON (AP) — Aaron Balick expected to find a tiny mouse stirring around behind the TV in his apartment. Instead, he found a venomous giant centipede that somehow made its way from South America to Britain.

He trapped the 9-inch-long creature between a stack of books and put it in a plastic container.

"Thinking it was a mouse, I went to investigate the sound," Balick said Wednesday. "The sound was coming from under some papers which I lifted, expecting to see the mouse scamper away.

"Instead, when I lifted the papers, I saw this prehistoric looking animal skitter away behind a stack of books."

The next day Balick, 32, took it to Britain's Natural History Museum, which identified the insect as a Scolopendra gigantea — the world's biggest species of centipede.

Stuart Hine, an entomologist at the museum, said it was likely the centipede hitched a ride aboard a freighter, likely with a shipment of fruit.

"Dealing with over 4,000 public and commercial inquiries every year, we have come to expect the unexpected. However, when Aaron produced this beast from his bag I was staggered," Hine said. "Not even I expected to be presented with this."

The centipede has front claws that are adapted to deliver venom when it stings, which can lead to a blistering rash, nausea and fever. The sting is rarely life-threatening, though. link

You know its just a pile of rocks?

Bella, that centipede was an escapee from a local shipment...The poster says the 'centipede' was the size of a cat...They don't grow that big.

Besides the positioning of the henge in accord with lunar and solar events, it appears stone henge is simply a monument. On National Geographic there was a show on stone henge, and it is now assumed stone henge was simply a place of ritual and sacred gathering; on top of that, sacrifice, of course.

Apparently you are unaware of what a dimension really is. Look it up sometime.

They don't grow that big..... as far as we know. Never think that current knowledge will not change later. Do not use current knowledge as a limit to what might and might not exist. Anything is possible, and us being wrong is very possible.

Stonhedge as a portal? Nonsense!

Giant centipedes the size of a cat? It would be able to support itself...Centipedes that long only existed in the past..
