Correct. I do however take a more spiritual understanding of "marriage" than simply getting a certificate. the certificate is not really necessary. Faithfulness to your partner IS important though, as you say. Indeed, a certificate is no guarantee that the couple are "married" either.
THough I have met "Christians" who have claimed the same thing - they said "oh we're married in God's eyes, so we're allowed to have sex". Which is fair enough if what they say is true, except that they broke up and two weeks later had new partner's, also claiming they were "married in GOd's eyes". I guess they forgot what God says about divorce.
But it's not my place to judge them. It's a matter between them and God.

BNot just in Gods eyes PA but in the eyes of the law..we are refered to as - common law marriage....If Gary and I where to split..he would be entitled to half of what we own..this is a fact
PA a certificate seals the deal for me...I am not religious...and it wouldnt be right for me to make Gary marry into my old church and he dont feel right making me marry into his church..since we both are not church going people....a reg office is good enough for us...as for the things involved in a marriage PA...we already have it. they are called.............
Love
Respect
Honor
Consideration
Kindness
Understanding
LoyaltyWe already have what it takes so sorry PA but all we need is to attend the reg office and thats it..if you lived over here and understood as to why we cant marry into a church..you would look at it differently...the only one that belongs to a church is our lil one Becky..only because we feel its a good start for her.
