Just one point that has happened fairly recently.

Way too many things to vent about with intertwined politics.

Do people really think their arguments become more valid and resonable when they call their opponents sheep? Has this in any way, shape, or form ever been a successful tactic to get people to share your beliefs?

Or is sharing your beliefs not the point?

I'd like to add my 2c's. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, whether I agree or not I will respect it, as I hope is done with mine in return.

Honestly, my first thought when I read the first post of this thread was "OHHHH, that's why last night on the Family Guy they were taking pot shots at GB jr about the coke laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I'm Canadian, and for some strange reason I tend to follow US politics more than Canadian. Go figure. What comes to mind when skimming these replies is an old saying:

"The best way to conceal the truth is with a lie"

Because the truth may sound so far fetched that no one would believe it, you tell people and they automatically think it's a lie.

The same holds true for those who we think are crazy. That is why they are labelled as "nutcases" it's a way to discredit them. I'm not saying that what this guy says is all true, but one thing I've seen happen time and time again is in order to save ones ass one accuses the other of being crazy to discredit what they are saying.

The best way I can describe this is with the following example that has happened to many people I know.

One partner accuses the other of cheating, the cheating partner says "you’re crazy, you need help mentally"

This happens way too often as a way to save ones rear. Think about how many times someone called a person crazy, and then try to remember if the so-called "crazy" person was eventually right?

All I'm saying is that the second someone's sanity is questioned on an important matter, alarm bells go off for me. I guess I can also revise my saying to:

"The best way to conceal the truth is with insanity".

I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with David Icke, I personally haven't read many of his articles, so I can't pass judgement.

Flashback to 1989
When Rumsfeld and Bush Sr. Refused to Back a UN Resolution to Investigate Saddam for Human Rights Abuses

SOURCE

I can't believe there are still people in this day and age that would argue the reason for going to war was out of some sort of humanitarian duty. The argement that America had an abiding and strong desire to invade Iraq to resolve longstanding human rights abuses are derisory. America has zero track record of being motivated on the international stage by concerns for human rights. It has actively assisted and encouraged nations engaged in mass murder on a monumental scale (to wit Indonesia with its 1975 invasion of east timor). America has made high profile use of human rights as an excuse for interventions but has an appalling record of supporting death squads in central america, tyrants in africa, and mini genocides in south asia.

Do some research on the Illuminati and the genelogy of American presidents. Presidents are never elected, merely selected. Whoever is POTUS is merely a figurehead for the real policy makers behind the scenes.

Selected by whom?

Want to investigate a REAL conspiracy? Why not try to find out who it is that tells the main stream media what talking points and words to use. In describing Bush, there will usually be a certain word, a keyword of sorts, like 'gravitas' that is picked up and used in unison by everyone in the main stream press. But that isn't a conspiracy is it? Just a lot of like minded people who are also psychic. wink2.gif

I'm so sick of people hating Bush just because it's cool. Most of them probably don't have a good reason to hate him. Look, he's just a guy, he screwed up badly several times, but let's get over it. It's not like America is a barren wasteland, nor is he going to make it one. He's not the first president to make big mistakes.

*claps*

Most people also say he's ad because he's the "first" president to have a record before becoming president (DUI). Correct me if I'm wrong but Madison or another president around that timeframe challenged his opponent in a duel and purposely killed him so he would automatically become president. And when you look at it, Bush has done an awesome job so far with handling 9/11, Iraq, and the War on Terrorism. Governing a country isn't easy, you know.

Many well known and respected reporters, business people, congress people or ex congress people, well respected people, eye witnesses, video tapes, audio tapes, physicist, doctors, lawyers and many more come forward and the doubters are shown so much of the evidence…but, to no avail.

When asked to show proof from the Bush and his administration supporters…there is very little, if any at all ever submitted….

Anyone that wants answers or wants to find the truth are called “paranoid, anti American, angry, idiots, childish" and asked to provide more proof….

The “proof” IS there, yet there is a refusal to look at any of it.

Please educate yourself before making such statements as its cool to hate Bush. Those of us who follow the happenings in this corrupt admin dont find it amusing or cool at all. We are deeply concerned with our nation and its current and future state. "screwing up badly several times" is not even close to accurate!

BTW, I am the fiance of a 24 YO disabled vet. When you have to be treated by VA you can tell me how wonderful you think he is. FYI a few years back, he gave the military a raise, geez that was mighty good of him huh? The truth is the money he used to give them a raise was taken from the housing budget for military families. Also those great tax cuts we recieved about 5 years ago, most of america got between $300-600, he took that money from social security. The top 1/5th of earners receive 2/3rds of all benefits and the bill excluded extending the child tax credit to 4 million low income families who do not qualify.

I could go on and on about the horrible things this dictator has done to our nation but I don't have the rest of week to waste explaining it to you.

I can see nothing in your statement about the horrible things he has done. The VA has been a POS for decades now, no President has done anything about it. This is just another typical example of blaming Bush for something that isn't his fault. About the raises, do you think money just appears out of nowhere? You have to pull from somewhere to put it somewhere. Every President has had to do this not just Bush. Just because you don't like him, it doesn't make everything he does wrong. Maybe your efforts should go to improving your situation, and not blaming. People get unlucky breaks all the time, the smart ones fight through it, the bitter ones blame others. Typical example: New Orleans. I will be waiting for you to post some of the horrible things he has done.

That would be getting off topic now wouldn't it...
But, there is a huge list of things. Start a thread if you'd care to hear the list...

The billions of dollars that has been gained by the administration (which I call the dark goverment) could surely have been put to better use, then to go into the already filthy rich traders pockets...

But, as I said it will all come out as soon as they don't need him (Bush) anymore...
He is actually only a puppet. He really hasn't the brains to have done anything himself. Just look at all the tings he failed at before he was president....

So, in that respect you are right…people shouldn’t hate or blame Bush Jr….he’s just so simple, it hurts just to watch him speak.

Someone said “dry drunk”. I personally don’t think so, I would bet anything he using again….
Course you know we sure wouldn’t hear about that.

How is that going off topic? She brought up the terrible things that have befallen her, and I just said people can either fight through it, or look for handouts. The Bush hating is much like the evolution argument. It's all theory. That's all it is, theory. People with too much time on their hands coming up with these off the wall theories that make no sense. Sure I have laughed at times when listening to Bush give a speech, who hasn't? I'm sure he did drugs back in the 60's early 70's ohmy.gif , most people his age probably experimented. Kinda like most men in their 80's probably fought in WW2. It was just something you did at the time. He is still our President, and there is no conspiracy. Give some hard evidence, not some loons that hate Bush, and will write everything bad they can about him. It's like when Clinton was in office, there were loons that wanted him out of office so badly also, that they would write lies about him. This will happen to the next President I'm sure. The gullible ones will be swayed to believe anything. The ones who are smart will stay out of it.
