What do you mean negate the debunking? The girls themselves admitted that it was a hoax...
See here's the problem with most (not all) people who are looking for answers in mythical happenings or ufo's. No matter what you tell them or even if the people who actually perpetrated the hoax tells them they still have such a strong desire to believe outside the ordinary that there is no reasoning with them.
I believe in the extraordinary, but I believe it comes from within the mind and I believe in myself and not some mythical creature (s) for guidance.

Hi
Coldethyl.

What I mean by "negate the debunking" is this... the girls reportedly saw fairies and took photos of them. Much like UFO encounter evidence, ghost encounter evidence, bigfoot, etc., some people were absolutely amazed at the proof, others insisted they were faked.
The girls were pressured by the naysayers (as virtually all experiencers can attest to). From personal experience, despite the fact that you know that you are experiencing the paranormal, hostile reactions from others can make it easier to shut up about it, or even take it back, depending upon your personality. The testimony of the girls is supposedly wavering from their own mouth, being distorted from reporters, rumours are being mixed in, etc. Now the truth "seems" muddied. I have read accounts where the girls (one or all) insist to the death that it was true. That negates the debunked accounts, which is in part what I was getting at.
Bren, fairies can be photographed by anyone. I do believe that desiring and intending to photograph them helps. I use a Nikkon Coolpix digitial camera, go out at dusk and take pictures of trees and bushes, load the files into the computer and then use a photo-paint program to examine the photos closely for anomalies. I actually find it soothing to search photos and very rewarding to find anomalies. I also find that with practice, spotting the anomalies becomes easier.
Tooth-and-Claw, I can fully understand your belief that the fairies I photograph might not be real. I agree that the little round-faced one (with what looks like a top hat) seems like it could be set there. All I can say is that I give you my word, I didn't fake that or any of my photos. I actually think it is exciting that it looks real enough to seem fake.

XSAS Daughter, thanks for stating your belief like that! Hope you get some great fairy photos!
