yeah, well i saw santa in the mall last christmas, and he looked pretty real to me. same with the photo of me on his lap. didnt looked doctured.

Santa came into the restaurant where I work last week. He was in street clothes, but I knew it was him and I told him so. He was very nice and even gave me one of his cards. ( I enlarged it so you could see him better) grin2.gif

The one thing that makes me instantly suspect it is fake is that they look exactly what you expect when someone mentions the word fairy
aflac duck
they look like something from a children's book, but thwn i think of fairies, i think of something unclothed and wild looking. where do fairies get clothes?!?
jennifer_laird
I Think thats cool and i do see the fairys on the photo even the first one and the one without the outlining on it:)thats cool

Only those with lives so empty and hollow that they desperately wish to believe in fairies can see.

Just a little ray of sunshine, eh? You ridicule most everything in this Cryptozoology forum, yet seem to hang here constantly. How pleasant.

ooh, right right. you mean just like people with lame cartoony pics? with some kind of stupid monster swaying back and forth? i hear ya

no, these people dont deserve to be riducled. they deserve to be disagreed with. which is what the forum is for. to debate. not people who dont have friends, so they try to go and make fun of people, because they know its really the only way for someone to actually talk to them. because otherwise no one will.

ok, what the hell am i looking at, in the attached thumb? cause i see Nothing

*edit* also, some of those, like the witches and goblins, seems like a huge joke. easy photoshop stuff.
Undeadskeptic
It would be foolish to even consider these clearly fake photo's as real, untampered images. Obviously fake.

As my mum always says, "Believing in fairies is like a broken rollercoaster. You waste all your time with it, then die horribly." Well, what I mean is, fairies aren't real, even a child knows that.
Juan2k7nyc
pretty fake pics .....
Wootloops
The Cottingley Fairy photos are so ludicrously fake that it is beyond me how any human being of any intelligence could possibly believe for one moment that those are genuine. They have no depth, are completely still, and with just a glance you can tell they are some form of 2D cutouts. The fact that they are from the early 1900s has no relevance either. They look just as fake now as they did then.

While I somewhat agree with you, where you err is in the historic timeframe of these photos. How easy, for us now, to condemn these obvious fakages, At the time, a well-known author of near science-fiction was horn-swaggled. How easy for the unknowing of our time to criticize those worthy figures of generations past.

Famous doesn't equal logical, worthy or credible.

QUOTE (Alisa @ Mar 22 2006, 05:55 PM) *
Neo, I want to just make one suggestion for trying to see the photos. Just pick one feature, like the face of the middle fairy in the outlined photo. Then look up in the non-outlined photo and find that face. And once you find that face, then see if you can make out the tiny dots for eyes. Then can you see the neck? And so on.

In the end, it will always be up to the individual to believe because I cannot prove that it is a fairy. Nor can it be proven it is not.

I further believe that our reality is based on our belief. If I think the world is a magical place with cool things like fairies and ghosts that we can find if we look hard enough, then for me, my world is magical. If I think the fairies are just optical illusion, then there goes the magic for me and I will stop looking and thereby be assured that I will never find them.

I am a much, much happier person these days since I began seeking out the mystical than the days I sat back skeptically waiting for someone to prove things to me beyond a shadow of my doubt. For me, I know I have captured fairies. I just feel compelled to inspire anyone else I can reach to open their minds and get excited. Anyone can capture these fairies, orbs, and ghost in photos. Just grab your camera with flash, go out at dusk, dawn, or night, express some belief, even ask out loud for anyone wanting their picture taken to please show up, and then snap.

In fact, if someone will do this with an open heart and send me a few of your photos, I will comb them for anomalies, and I am sure they will be there.

I'm not exactly sure that I agree with reality being belief-based, but I would like to say that I admire your childlike enthusiasm for this. I'd also like to share a passage from one of my favorite stories, The Silver Key, by HP Lovecraft:

"He had read much of things as they are, and talked with too many people. Well-meaning philosophers had taught him to look into the logical relations of things, and analyse the processes which shaped his thoughts and fancies. Wonder had gone away, and he had forgotten that all life is only a set of pictures in the brain, among which there is no difference betwixt those born of real things and those born of inward dreamings, and no cause to value the one above the other...

"They had chained him down to things that are, and had then explained the workings of those things till mystery had gone out of the world. When he complained, and longed to escape into twilight realms where magic moulded all the little vivid fragments and prized associations of his mind into vistas of breathless expectancy and unquenchable delight, they turned him instead toward the new-found prodigies of science, bidding him find wonder in the atom's vortex and mystery in the sky's dimensions. And when he had failed to find these boons in things whose laws are known and measurable, they told him he lacked imagination, and was immature because he preferred dream-illusions to the illusions of our physical creation."

I'm absolutely sure that for me, your pictures just show leaves and twigs and other mundane things. But if they show you fairies and leprechauns, then more power to you. You obviously live a very rich life, and just because I don't see it the same way, far be it from me to chide you until "wonder had gone away".

Thanks for taking the time to share something that means a lot to you to people you know would probably laugh at you.
Seriously
You know when even the outline drawings come out looking like the Kellogs Rice Krispie elfs they most likely not fairies.
BronzeSpawn
Fairies aren't real, dude. Life isn't a Zelda game.
starchy
I see the Faer, hatted and green. Oh yes indeed they exist and they are magical. Most of you cannot or will not, (to be correct), and you deny yourselves the magic of whats truly out there. Sad sad sad internet losers is what you are, rubbishing everything, and guess what your world is rubbish!! Alisa and Twas are the enlightened people here!!

^..... other than trees, what the hell am i looking at in those pics?
Wootloops
What would magical creatures be doing manifesting themselves through vague patterns in leave, grass, etc? It does not make sense.
Incorrigible1
At least, Starchy, you've learned to reduce the size of your posted photos, so they don't stretch beyond my monitor's width limits. Horray for small favors.

You're still daft on your perceived creatures, but hey, carry on, mate. And thank you for keeping the photos to a reasonable size.
truethat
what's the difference between taking fairy dollies and laying them in bushes and snapping shots? they don't look alive in any of them.
Daniella2310
Arrr I was really expecting to see some good ol' fairy pics :-(

I assure you these are 100% genuine. I aint joking, please explain why you think this is bogus. The Faeries are in the right window of this photo, this is the original

If you look in the left pane of glass you see this, no modification.

Now lets look at the 2 Faeries on the right again un-enhanced. I like the way the guy's beard dangles down when he's flying!

Now lets enhance em. Pukka genuine flying Faeries!

Incorrigible1
The surface of a glass window pane is prone to reflect, as in producing reflections.
Agent. Mulder
starchy, there is nothing in these photos.
and also, im curious, do you just take random pics, then try really hard to find faries in them? or how do claim you can see them in
the pics? how do you pic a spot to look for them. because you cant see anything until youve zoomed in Alot on the pic anyways.
(and by anything, i mean, w/e you wanna see).
kraftman
Maybe reflections of birds.
goldilocks_nc
ever heard of pixilating?? your mind will see whatever you want it to see. I truly see nothing paranormal in any of the phots.
kraftman
Of course there is nothing in this picture.
starchy
wot about these?

My gawd! You've convinced me entirely!
starchy
I might be wrong about this stuff, i'm happy to admit it. I might be 99% wrong but, its the 1% I'm after!!! Incorrigable I dont believe you will ever see or believe, you are someone to me who simple will not ever see anything, because your perception is closed because of who you are and the way you look at things. Please try to see this as something that could be, instead of something that could not be, then and only then you will then be convinced !!
Wootloops
Why do they only come up when you have to zoom in to like 1/50 of the picture? At that close, everything is blurred, and you are bound to make out something. You are matrixing. Can you find any fairies in any photos that are not zoomed in? And I don't mean clouds that appear to have the form of a creature or obvious reflections of sunlight through leaves.
chaoszerg
Your photo of the ones in the Glass at the Roman Baths is actually the reflection of the stone railing with the criss cross in the middle of them.

There are no fairies in any of the photos you have shown. It would be nice if they were real but those photos you have provided have no fairies in them, it seems you desperately wish them to be real and are seeing them in all these photos but there are no fairies in those photos.

Here is you pic

and here is the one of the opposite side of the windows.

No fairies sorry sad.gif
TRPS-TECH
Looks like patterns of leaves and branches to me . its amazing what your mind will make of something if you allow it to .
starchy
Go ahead, try an debunk all you like. Yup whatever, blah blah blah.

I see a magic kingdom all around me, with amazing things in it. If you think Its just leaves and trees or reflections and my mind is making it into stuff, fine thanks for your opinion!

Jeez how many bushes and trees do ya see looking like this? LOL
