hahahah, well i don't think it's really a movie for the older generation. It is afterall the result of internet humour. Like showing Grandad 'All Your Base Are Belong To Us'. He's not gonna find it funny is he.

I don't know...I'm pretty old and I laughed until it hurt!
Burnside, it's more likely that you and my son are simply 'kindred spirits' as we live south of Boston MA USA. Not too far from Canada, but not too close either!

I read another review of it in a paper. Basically said 3/5 - not a great movie, but not a completely bad one either. Does not deserve the hype its getting and will be forgotten about as soon as you leave the cimena, but for those 2 hours its enjoyable despite the bad-acting
I really want to see it. I heard it was awsome.

Hmmm, I was gunna see it tonight with friends,
But my dad said it was too far away.
Ah well, I guess I'll just have to miss out, it can't really be very fun without friends, so there's not point in me seeing it now.
Now here's the amazing thing. My dad drives us up to Sydney (the cinema is around half the distance) every weekend to watch a lame AFL game. Hypocrite.

I think the acting was purposefully bad...I mean Sam Jackson isn't a bad acter and either is the female lead(forgot name).

Of course it was. It's purposefully made to be chessy and corny. I think the acting was great personally, because it was exactly as intended.
Hope you have fun bud!

I think every director of every movie would claim that the acting was great, based on the fact the actor did exactly what the director intended

Can't say I have any want to see this... I mean whats next.... Piranha in a boat? Lions in a limo? Im sure I will wait till its on cable before seeing it....

Did you see that skirt she was wearing?

I am a little disappointed at the audience. I went at a 10 showing, and only 15 people were there and my group seemed to be the most interested in it. The others did laugh and stuff, but we were the only ones who were jumping around as much as we were.

But it was done with a certain intelligence to it. There's nothing stupid about the layout and general feel of the movie, as well as it's content. It's actually pretty smart humour, made dumb. Hard to explain, but i didn't laugh because i felt it was silly humour. Having Steve Irwin on the plane would have been something out of the Simpsons, not Jackson worthy.

It was a good film for me, got one of the best one liners of recent history. But the bit which was the worst for myself made me cringe was the bit were the guy qwent into the toiler for a whiz and the snake came up the toilet bowl and bit him right on the.....i think enough has been said.

The film, despite being possibly one of the worst I've ever seen - ever (and I've seen Wild Wild West) it's so bad it's great. And not only is it great, it's damned cool too. I mean, it's straight talking - it pulls no punches, and has some great one liners. Plus, wherelse can you see reptiles biting both breasts and genitals?

Person 2 "and a plane"
Person 3 "Snakes and a plane"
Person 2 "So what do we call it"
Person 1 "i dont know"
Person 3 "Okay so we have sankes on a plane?"
Person 1 "yeah"
Person 2 "Oh my God thats it right there we call it ......Jackass 2"
Person 1 "no"
Person 3 "how about we just call it snakes on a plane cause thats what the movie is about"
Person 1 "Im with that"
Person 2 "sure"

I'm afraid it's not at all. You wont enjoy it sitting at home watching it on DVD unless you have alot of friends into watching it. It's a audience participation movie, that's what makes it so fun to see, everyone gets into it and has a great time with it. I don't think i would even like it if i watched it alone.
