lol, I like that idea about the ringing in your ears being ones spirit guide. I've recently wondered if my frequent sneezes are partially explainable by something along the moral advisor lines...for lack of a better phrase. Sounds absurd, but often holds up. For example if I say "Ok, I won't do such and such" I'll stop sneezing, when I'd usually continue on for another 4 or more.

My spirit guide appears to me as a piece of cheese. Swiss I think, but I am not sure. Anyway, cheese teaches me many things about the world and mankind. I would be lost without cheese.

Personally, I am wary of taking spiritual advice from somebody who says "u" for "you", "2" for "too", "every1" for "everyone", and almost certainly listens to Avril Laveigne.

Personally I don't really believe in Horoscopes. Millions of people have the same date of birth, so how can one horoscope account for those millions. I doubt they all have the exact same day. Plus my horoscope is never ever right. And as for Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides, I believe in them but the animal thing I find a bit weird. Apparently, according to a couple of clairvoyants, my Grandma is looking out for me and I think my cousin, but throughout the past year I've kind of lost my belief in these things anyway. So hey what am I doing here lol

Animal guides are just fashion at the moment. Their time will come....

The methodologies behind contacting and interacting with spirit guides have been around for thousands of years and they will continue to be understood for thousands of years more.

Changing the direction of the wind would be easier than stopping the use of spirit guides

I have always recognized the shamanistic practice of spirit guided, as well as shapeshifting. All I am saying is to stay away from it. Play with fire and you'll get burned.

I have that Sylvia Browne CD on spirit guides. I'm a bit too lazy to sit down and listen to it. But I am fairly certain my spirit guide is a female in her early 30s. Specific, I know.

I'm aware of 3 guides and a doorkeeper. Each have different roles - spirit communication, protection, meditation....You have a main one that stays with you over your life time, others will come and go. For those that are familar with their guides/gaurdians, when you see a new one come into your life, it's often for a reason for a stage you are at in your life or spiritual path.

My spirit guides came to me in lucid/dreams. My first were Gabriel and Michael but that was just really a chat and I dont really count them as 'guides'so much. Then I used to get hunted sometimes by what turned out to be a werewolf, which I actually slayed in a very vivid and really cool lucid dream. I finally got some payback because I learned to go lucid and taught myself to not be afraid of it and to bascially stand and fight. Anyway I slayed this beast that had been giving me nightmares on and off for about a year or more(I cut its head off)and it really empowered me. The next time I went lucid I just knew that I could shift into the werewolf, so I gave it go and it worked really well. So I found a new thing to do during lucid dreams which was really quite thrilling and I kinda took to the streets like something outta Iron Maiden Killers/American werewolf in london. lol

Then I met lam in a 'for a One time only' unique dream and he was very guiding and sent me on.. a trip pretty much God bless him. lol

Anyway then after a few years of getting good at shifting I began to run to shift, which made me fully shift into the wolf and not just the werewolf(standing wolf), which was a much more happier experience. I became a more mellow wolf. Also around that time I called for Ariel during a lucid dream and I think I found another guide from that moment too.

Anyway slowly my wolf went whiter and I became like this running wolf instead of this fighting one, which felt really nice and I kinda hung up the claws so to speak.

Then not too long after I had my dream/vision of the lion and the rainbow, where I was basically placed inside a lion that was under a rainbow in the clouds. The rainbow became serpents that ran down my arms and tattood my skin and it was like the lion just got sucked inside me. And after that experience I knew I wasnt really wolf anymore. I felt like the lion and serpents had been given as a gift or something, and a few months later during a lucid dream I stopped to look at my body and saw that it was like a small lions. It was cool because I didnt try to shift or anything, I just dreamed that i was running and it made me go lucid enough to stop and look at myself pretty much.

So yeah for me the lion is like the stage after wolf.

Then I had a run in with a shark who was hunting me and after dreaming of swimming with it, I happened to dream I was a crocodile who then shifted into a great white shark to continue the hunt with more.. umph. So to me they seem to be like whats used if the lion wants to go swimming kinda. If that makes any sense.

So yeah, my animal guides are the ones I shapeshift into and my other guides are pretty quiet I guess.

I think my spirit guide might be a wolf i dreamed about once.....but then it attacked me soooo....are guardians supposed to attack you? lol

I've heard that you can contact a spirit guide through astral-travel.
I've never tried it, and I may not ever try it.

Perhaps the real answer is simply to eat some crazy chilli and then drink some wax....

Aaalright this is insane. What the heck are you all talkin about lol!!! What is the point of having an animal as a "guide" when they cannot understand us to the full extent a human can anyway?! I have heard of people having more than one change of animal to represent the change going on in their lives, but what the frickin heck is the purpose of it all by it being an animal?

Keep trying with the meditation route. You will see when your ready. I know it's frustrating but frustration will become a hindrance in the process. Spirit can't be demanded. There's a good reason why you should hold out and discover them yourself. It's a kind of awakening, an experience no one can ever take from you or make you doubt. It seals and lays a solid foundation to work from. If someone tells you who they are then it's denying you of that. You then rely on some elses ideals and may never quite know if it's true or not. Most spirit guides/gaurdians don't show reveal themselves to others, would be warey of anyone that claims to tell you of them....

Animals....Some would say that animals understand us better than people, with regards to spirit whether a guide is an animal or not is irrelevant. Learning to communicate with spirit is like learning a new language and using communication in a different way. It's never ending learning process.....

No. But the wolf may have been symbolic in taking that context.

well the dream was that i was walking in the woods with a pack of wolves and i pet one then moments later it leaped and bit me in the arm, maybe it was just its way of waking me up from my sleep, or some other symbolism that i would go more into if i wasnt so lazy lol

I read somewhere once when I was searching for info on American Indian shapeshifting beliefs etc.. and I read that it was considered your guide it if hunts(comes to you)first in dreams and then you hunt it back in real life, so that you can wear its skin pretty much. Something like that.. it was one of the tribes beliefs from memory because I remember spinning out when I read it because I had basically done the same thing but all in my dreams.

So I guess if you have an.. angry wolf as your guide he isnt going to give you a kiss when he first says hello because thats not his style you know.

Thats kinda hard to answer.. but basically when you run like the animal and fully shift, you really feel and understand it more and experience the animal fully, which is empowering. Like anotherwords I dont really like to dream of the ocean but if Im lucid and shift into a great white Im not worried to take a swim because after the shift you get shark minded and you lose your fear because your.. bigger with bigger teeth basically. So I mainly look at it from a lucid dreaming point of view and when you fully shift you grow in size and abilitys etc, which still feels empowering after you wake up.

Like I dreamt once that I called for my pack using my howl and then two other grey wolves came to help me out because I was running from black dogs(I wanted to run instead of attack). When my pack came I felt safe and it was just a completly different experience than if I had turned around to stand and fight them. Instead of violence I ran with my tongue hanging out in the sun and howled. Like I swear I really know what its like when dogs run around with there tongues hanging out panting huh. Its such a happy thing and if I hadnt ran like that I wouldnt really understand it as much.

So I guess it helps in understanding your guide even more when you become it somewhat.

oh and something else that came to mind, if u have some kind of encounter with a spirit guide and u know nothing of what they are and what they do...how are people supposed to know that info if they dont have American Indian backgrounds or understand why its happening?

Not sure, it's a spirit thing, and they want you to learn fresh. Natives I guess are old souls and very spiritual. They use alot of symbology and visual meanings in their messages. They understood animals very well and this also is symbolic. It's similar to the langauge of spirit.

I'm not sure you ever get to the level or stage where you can 'chat casually with them'. Their communication doesn't really work like that. Sometimes they can give you something that will have you puzzeling for ages, they want to see you learning and will keep you on your toes!....Alot of it is interpreting what is being given to you. The better and quicker you can do this, the more fluent you will be.

as far as i know i have a wolf spirit gaurdian and from what ive seen in the spirt world he high up in there socitey but this could be just me i do not know that much about the spirit world so i coudl have made wrong conclusions

I thought we had 4 gaurdians.. Wich are angels... and then we have 1 totem animal. But i dont think the animals are there to gaurd or protect... but mostly for messages and a little guiding here and there..

Meditation stage of AP/OBE.
I started to see disturbing clouded faces, demons/negitive energy (so I was told, believe me I had and have alot of questions myself lol), the clouded visions went away and a powerful Black Panther was standing there almost royalty like and very powerful but peaceful....

Sounds strange but you would understand alot more is you read up on AP and OBE.

Mine looks like a Ring Wraith from LOTR. I have also caught a glimpse of a white wolf.

No, well it depends on your intentions of the meditation, if your just meditating then no, if your trying to have an OBE/AP or actually having an OBE then yes there is a possibilty you will encounter your Guide or Guardian. Everybody has a Guardian, if you learn how to AP (Astral Project) you have a guide (Guardian) that you may meet among other entitys. I seen mine 2 times and it was at the first stage of AP after meditating to relax.

Not sure who told you this but they are wrong, they aren't demons, they're just spirits in a kinda limbo state, probably on the astral realm, although I've seen some from other realms at times. Its very comon to see this when meditating for opening up to the spirit world or when winding down at night before you sleep. They can sometimes appear distorted and rather scary looking but they're harmless and not demonic
