user posted image rTracks resembling giant footprints in forests around Kampung Lukut and Kampung Temening are being erased, seemingly to distract foreign tour groups on Bigfoot sighting expeditions here. The authorities have cut the eco-tourist influx at these villages and nearby foothills by bulldozing and clearing the secondary forest where the Bigfoot footprints and other evidence were discovered.A check by the New Straits Times showed the secondary jungle area beside the tar road where a set of Bigfoot footprints was first found by local jungle trekker Kong Nam Choy on Jan 16 had been cleared.Foreign tour groups have been coming in big numbers and according to locals, this new eco-tourism activity had started after an expedition on Feb 20 by a team of local and foreign media members and researchers. The team comprising American and local film crews, members of the Singapore Paranormal Investigators and a foreign newspaper journalist were led by Kong to discover fresh Bigfoot footprints at Kampung Lukut.

The team produced the first plaster cast of a clear footprint, believed to have been made by the Johor Bigfoot, which was widely reported in the local and foreign media. It is believed that since then tour groups in Singapore had been organising Bigfoot tours to Kota Tinggi, for foreign and local tourists although this brought no benefit to locals.Kong said yesterday that tourists would arrive in cars and vans as early as 6am to trek into the secondary jungle at the two villages, looking for evidence of Bigfoot.

well that just flat out sucks

ok i'm not an expert by any means. but i think this not only sucks, but is pretty @#$%in stupid. here you have an area of jungle which seems to be frequented by bigfoot(s), on somewhat of a regular basis. Now for a government that is actively trying to prove the existence of bigfoot... doesn't this seem about as productive as shooting yourself in the foot before going for a walk?!? personally i can only see this as something that would drive them deeper into the jungle further away from humans, only delaying the inevitable discovery of the hairy dude!

but like i said, i'm no expert, but those are my 2 cents.

thumbsup.gif lol, good comment. They really should keep people away from that forest, they are going to disturb wildlife too. Can't the government just cut out one of bigfoot's prints off the ground and send it to the museum somewhere?
BigfootForever
all I can say is the people who are apart of this government are complete idiots.

I think them bulldozing and clearing the forest is wrong.
I also feel that its wrong for all these tourist / bigfoot hunters to be going out into the jungle.
Talk about dangerous!
If a bigfoot group does live there it is just gonna drive them away.

A group of experts needs to be the ones going in armed with cameras and weapons!

Isnt there some guy who is supposed to be in contact with them?
He should lead them to them or atleast provide some sort of proof (like a picture).

My only problem with them proving they exist is for scientist to get hold of one and start to experiment on it or for them to be in Zoos.

To have avoided humans for as long as they have and to live in peaceful groups they haft to have some sort of intelligence.

How could they do that? Why?
They destroyed the forest. When I read that part I got all cold. It makes me sick.

They do need to keep people away, but why cut down and bulldoze the area? I think thats wrong.
Unpro
Knowing the malaysian government, they would even want to collect tax from bigfoots u know...

this pisses me off we gotta repent!

From and ecological stand point these people are going to pay for this. You can't destroy a jungle and not have serous impact on a lot of fronts; like water run off, rain fall, local diverity. With a little thought and planning they could have use of it to the benifit of locals.
Fools they know not what they do. mad.gif

Read the article. They did not destroy the entire jungle, only a section where footprints were found.

i think, or hope he got the point that the whole jungle wasn't destroyed, but his points are still pretty valid regardless. the destruction of the our forests aren't doing anyone any good. point finale.

He thought the entire jungle was destroyed. If you read the entire thread you would have seen I already made a post saying what they did was wrong:

I was just simply correcting him and I never said it was doing any good.
