Finally got some free time now (Schools out

) so I'm gonna start playing this again, still have lots of quests to do.
I haven't seen that download yet, Dando; I'll probably start getting them once I finish everything in the original game. How do they work? Do you get a quest hint that pops up after downloading it?
You "find" the scroll as soon as you load.... and I'd get them before finishing everything else though, the game is just too big to wait for me

. At 170+ hours I still have many quests to do (fighters guild, dark brotherhood, thieves guild, main quest, daedric shrines, etc.).... I guess I mostly concentrated on making a high level character before tackling the bigger things. I can play with the difficulty all the way up and still manage to survive...albeit with a lot less arrows and usually broken armour after every fight. So that's why I'm usually in super ninja mode at 135% chameleon

I got my Oblivion the other day.
My first day in Oblivion.
I started out, and made a Dark Elf. I beat the annoying beginning and went out to see the world. Then I killed two other people…they deserved it. I went to an inn and heard a strange story about a necromancer and a bounty. I decided to steal the horse outside the inn and go. I rode until I saw out of the corner of my eye, a devious little guy…with a bow and arrow, I attemped to flee, and the archer got one shot off. It hit my horse in the ass.
I saw a cat-woman and dismounted to talk to her. She was mean, so as I was about to kill her, the same jerk that shot my horse with an arrow shows up. As I fumble with my axe, she beats him to death…WITH HER FISTS. But she receives an arrow for her troubles, and walks off.
I get on my horse, and gallop to a town, a town that was mentioned as being a ghost town. I get there, and it is empty. Then I see a floating hoe. They are invisible. So, I do what any self respecting UM goer would do, RUN AWAY BEFORE THEY ‘GET’ ME.
I did just that, and here I am now, typing my first day in Oblivion. I hope this was interesting.

Well I played Oblivion and thought it was awesome at first!
Some of the weopens were good the new enchanting was kinda cool but the new bribe mini. game absolutely sucked WTH was up with that?
But overall the ending of the game was Good! And the graphics were amazing.

Jun 30 2006, 12:44 AM
^Haha, the bribe thing wasn't really meant to be a game. It's some thing you need to do for some quests, to persuade the NPC's to give you more information, if they don't like you at all than lots of the time they won't tell you anything.

Conspiracy, try going for the mansion in Anvil; it only costs 5000 and it's huge compared to many other houses. You just have to do a small quest before you can completely move in to it, but it's definetely worth it.

If anyone has any questions about a few cheats or glitches on this game i know alot of them!
My favorite glitch is the Duplicate Item trick! the only thing you have to do is have any kind of bow and a set of arrows!
1. Equip your bow & Equip your arrows!
2. Now draw your bow back as to shoot an arrow...®trigger!
3. While still holding the ®trigger go into your inventory!
4.Now click on the set of arrows you have 3 times with the A (Green)button and then, scroll over the item you want to Duplicate and drop it with X (Blue)button!
"Cha Ching" There ya go
But just remember how ever many arrows you have is how many items this glitch will duplicate!
And if you have hooked your 360 up to broadband and downloaded the update patch for oblivion the item duplication will not work also along with any other glitch in the game!
Anyway good luck to all of you!

I got the update which prevented the cheats, I don't see the point, like Dado Kast said, it's just a single player game. It would be better to have the option to cheat, it's not as if the glitch itself ruined the gameplay at all.

But other people might like to do certain cheats to enhance the games playability!

So you duped Varla stones, know what I did?.... I leveled up until I could do Azura's quest and got Azuras star, it's a refillable soul gem so along with Umbra they make a good combination. Exact same effect with none of the cheating

. The game is meant to present a challenge, duping items isn't exactly "enhancing the gameplay" I feel like it takes away from the gameplay, but you do what you want, I had fun getting Umbra and Azura's Star. Here's a question......doesn't it weigh you down to have 10000 Varla stones, healing potions, etc.?

When your a level 53 battlemage it's kinda hard to become over encumbered and 10,000 varla stones would be a bit rediculous.

My God, my friend got that game and now it's ALL he EVER talks about. Every time I see him, it's "Hey, dude, I was in the Imperial City and I had this really, really good bow, that did, like, a crapload of damage, and I walked up to this guy, and he was like, 'Hi' and I took out the bow and shot him, so he's running away with an arrow through his back, and I shoot him again and he just goes FLYING like, THIRTY FEET, and I'm all 'Yeah, awesome' but then the guards come, and they're all 'Stop, lawbreaker!' and I'm all 'No!' and he's like, 'Then pay with your blood!' and then they killed me."
Seriously, this guy thinks the word "Oblivion" was made up FOR THE GAME, and that the series is called the "Oblivion" series. Plus, he won't let me play it because, somehow, he thinks it'll make the game run slower.
Okay, I don't have anything against the game itself, but, every time I see anything relating to it, I get reminded of this guy. Sorry, but all my hopes of ever playing it were crushed by this nerd.
