I find anthropology to be far more interesting. Archaeologists are concerned with ruins and artifacts and such, but anthropologists study how people lived - what their customs were and so on.

You could also try joining with one of the various South American agencies dedicated to preserving the ancient ruins. However, that would be more akin to a police job.

Then again, you could do what Erik von Daniken does...make up a bunch of lies, fake your evidence, and write books about it. The advantage here is that you don't have to know anything about science to do that. In fact, the less you know, the better.

Thats just foolish to me...Truthfully i really want to travel the world and find out things that no one knows about...The anthropology career sounds like something i would deffinitaly do...Thanks again!!! grin2.gif

Perhaps I spoke too strongly. I have a personal dislike for von Daniken's theories because they demonstrate a willful ignorance about the achievements and ingenuities of ancient cultures around the world. However, I can't say for certain he is lying per se. He may honestly believe his theories. When Nova caught him red-handed faking evidence to support his claims ("The Case For the Ancient Astronaunts", originally aired 3/8/78), his excuse was that it was justified since some people would only believe if they saw proof.

At any rate...I wish you luck in your endeavors. There is so much left to learn about ancient cultures and civilizations. The world needs all the minds it can get...
