LOL - you needed to look a bit further on the website King. Here's the story behind the photo;

The Spanish Jersey Devil

this image I made with photoshop and a couple of holiday snapshots from spain. I wondered what a jersey devil picture would look like. You may do with it as you please. Great site, btw.
Floris

U might want to call it Floris's Devil..
this is the tale..

in the summer of 84 me and my art's class colleaugues undertook a trip to Barcelona,Spain. This picture was taken along the way, hot as hell. Rumour has it a female Ogre stalks the ponds for children to drown.

The American Jersey Devil, which inhabits the Pine Barrens of New Jersey, has a horse's head and bat wings. Its Spanish counterpart shown here appears to have lost those features, but still looks quite devilish.

My enthusiasm was dented after one second, when I spotted the word "museum", closely followed by the word "of", which in turn was followed by the word "hoaxes."

Nice picture, though.

Actually, it was submitted to the webmaster of the site by e-mail, so it isn't one of the photo's that has been proven to be a hoax. Of course, common sense tells us it is, but then again maybe its just the Jersey Devil taking a vacation. original.gif

maybe JD knew someone's gonna take a pic of him,i mean look at him,he's dancing!! laugh.gif

I'm not sure that the entire scene is real. The lighting and the plastic looking tree on the left makes it appear like a diorama.

Just a penny here, and a penny there...

I don't know much about these things, but it looks like a fake to me. whistling2.gif

I wish I downloaded it then put it in the Attechements.

From what I read it was like the 11th baby or something and the mother got mad and yelled something about the baby was evil or some such. So, the baby was born evil. Or something like that...it's been so long since I've read anything about the Jersey Devil. I must update, lol.

But the pic does look rather fake, but hey, it's the first picture of the Jersey Devil I've seen so naturally I had to take a look.

Cya!

I wasn't aware that the Jersey Devil looked like a stickman.........isn't it supposed to have wings, and a head like a horse ?

Seriously, that photo looks so fake it's unreal. Why do so many people become convinced by dubious pictures ? We have this one, and that pathetic excuse for proof of the Chupacabra elsewhere on these forums. Add to this a huge number of blurred, indistinct, or just plain crap photographs of UFO's, Bigfoot, and God knows what else, and what do you have ? Not much evidence for anything at all.

Yes, there are some truly unexplained photographs and film footage of anomalous objects and creatures in existence, but we need to stop kidding ourselves that every blurred bunch of pixels taken with a Kodak Instamatic is SOLID PROOF.

I found this picture quite funny... looks a bit too pink to find it scary, besides he look like hes fighting hard to stay upright on that fence. thumbsup.gif

i tought the picture looked more like what i would imagine a djinn as looking like(a djinn is a "man of mist"-an semi-invisible deamon of the middle east moslems)
i heard the JD was the 6th child(66* being the number of satan)and that satan was the father and the baby flew out the chimney after his mama saw he had horns, wings, hooves, red skin, and a forked/spear headed tail.
but there are tons of different descriptions. devil.gif

Speaking about the Jersey Devil, a friend of mine awhile ago told me about this experience with JD itself.

He was like a teenager then, a family friend was driving him and several other kids in a family van down this road in New Jersey. It was at night and since it wasn't a very well traveled road, there were no lights so if you flip your lights off you'd be in pitch darkness.

They were just driving when suddenly the family friend spoted, on the edge of the road ahead, on the right side, she noticed two pairs of feet glowing in the dark, walking, one pair in front of another.

"$hit!" she said. "The Jersey Devil!"

The van was getting closer and closer to the two pairs of glowing feet...everybody ran to the left side of the van, scared $hitless.

By the time the van was passing the feet, everybody was screaming the top of their lungs. The van rushed past the feet and in the headlights, they saw the owners of the feet.

It was two guys walking with glow in the dark sneakers. dontgetit.gif

I'm not sure if he is pulling my leg....why would 2 guys be walking in some far off interstate road in the middle of Jersey with glow in the dark sneakers (if they exist). blink.gif

That is a garden statue, of a Greek satyr if i'm not mistaken.
Yeah and it does say "museum of hoaxes" at the top. I would be interested to see any "real life" (as in not sketches) of the jersey devil though.

Dont worry I got you guys covered.
