Same here. I've been hearing about this lately, and I find it very fascinating.
I could be wrong because guides are not my forte, but I imagined mine would be a wolf or tiger.

I see crow's all the time, good or bad ?
Yelekiah
I think that's a good thing. original.gif
The crow or raven is also known as Mercury, or the Egyptian Thoth. He represents intellect, ans the first step to spiritual ascension.

Good post. People usually think about ghosts and spirits haunting people, they forget that angels could exist too. I would love to hear any evidence about their existence. grin2.gif

hehe.... well I think the world has its opposite forces so if there are ghosts, there should be angels but people usually look into one and ignore the other but I think they are both as interesting.

I am convinced that I have guardians. Some people say that this is merely some kind of telepathic warning of danger that all living animals have evolved in order to protect themselves from imminent danger from predators. This could be true but sometimes the circumstances are so complicated that that I prefer to think that I have some kind of entity or entities, watching over me. A case in point was the time, back in the 1950s when I was doing my national service in the R.A.F. I was rushing home on leave just before Christmas and I knew I was in danger of missing my train from Waterloo station to Andover in Hampshire. I was running like a gazzelle to the platform entry gate and when I got there and showed the guard my ticket he said "You wanna get a move on, mate or you'll miss it!" I saw that the train was already moving but that one or two doors were still open and as the train moved slowly along the platform a guard was closing all the open doors. At the speed I was running I could just have got onto the train but suddenly I felt an icy chill and "something" urged me NOT to catch that train. I froze in my tracks and then started walking slowly back to the gate through which I had just come. The ticket man there saw me and said "What's up, then son?" I told him I didn't feel well, which in a way was true. I left the platform, not knowing why I had done this as I had been anxious to get home to my parents that night. I went and looked at the train departures board and saw that I would have to wait for two and a half hours for the next train to Andover. So, I bought a magazine and went to the station buffet for a drink.......and waited.

I caught that next train and felt satisfied. However, after a while the train stopped in the countryside somewhere apart from any station. It was now night and dark outside so I wiped away a little of the condensation on the window and cupped my hand around my eyes to peer out into the darkness. All I could see were the lights of scattered houses out in the countryside. The train remained stationary and silent for a while and then started to move backwards very slowly. After a while it resumed its forward motion and began to pick up speed. All the passengers in my compartment were as puzzled as I was. Then we came to a station which happened to be the one after the next station on that route. I cannot remember which was the station we had passed by, or the one at which we next stopped, but I know that this was in the area of Basingstoke. When the train stopped at the next station, I saw that there were police and ambulance men about and there was much activity and many flashing lights. Then came an announcement over the public address system that there had been a train crash at the previous station and that our train had been re-routed to this one. The annoucement said that all passengers who had wanted to alight at the previous station would be taken there by bus. When I finally got home...very late, my parents were sick with worry and later that evening we saw the news of the train crash in which many people had been killed, on television. I have of course never forgotten this incident and have wondered why I had been warned not to take that first train (which had crashed into the back of another that standing in the station) while other passengers had not (that I knew of). Could it be that not all of us are so sensitive to psychic warnings? Could it be that each of us is watched over by perhaps the benevolent spirits of our loved ones who have passed over before us? I don't know the answer but I do now trust to the guardians who protect me. If I am wrong about this then it does not matter for it is a very positive illusion to live with. LONECAT
bubs_satansreject
Wow, Lonecat, that sounds like a very lucky escape, something must have made you missed the train although I do not know what, maybe it is your sensitive ability to sense these things or there really is some kind of guardian trying to protect you innocent.gif .
That was a very good story grin2.gif thumbsup.gif Thanks.
I think the idea of living animals having a telepathic warning of danger is true in some cases but I think in this modern world, unless there is something obviously dangerous or dodgy looking, it is hard to tell what might happen, for example, cases like the train story, there is noway you could of predicted the event with animal instincts so there should be something esle protecting you I think.

Angel Story

Sennacherib was an Assyrian king who laid siege to Jerusalem in 701 B.C. At the time Judah was under the rule of Hezekiah. The Bible records the story of Sennacherib in the book of 2 Kings as thus:
Quote:
(Chapter 18 ) 13Now in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and seized them. 14Then Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria at Lachish, saying, "I have done wrong. Withdraw from me; whatever you impose on me I will bear." So the king of Assyria required of Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold. 15Hezekiah gave him all the silver which was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasuries of the king's house.
17Then the king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rab-saris and Rabshakeh from Lachish to King Hezekiah with a large army to Jerusalem
28Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in Judean, saying, "Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria.
31'Do not listen to Hezekiah, for thus says the king of Assyria, "Make your peace with me and come out to me, and eat each of his vine and each of his fig tree and drink each of the waters of his own cistern, 32until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and honey, that you may live and not die." But do not listen to Hezekiah when he misleads you, saying, "The LORD will deliver us."
(Chapter 19) 5So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah. 6Isaiah said to them, "Thus you shall say to your master, 'Thus says the LORD, "Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me. 7"Behold, I will put a spirit in him so that he will hear a rumor and return to his own land And I will make him fall by the sword in his own land."'"
35Then it happened that night that the angel of the LORD went out and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men rose early in the morning, behold, all of them were dead. 36So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and returned home, and lived at Nineveh.37It came about as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer [his sons] killed him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat And Esarhaddon his son became king in his place.

Now observe Sennacherib’s account on the prism:

Quote:
As for Hezekiah the Judahite, who did not submit to my yoke: forty-six of his strong, walled cities, as well as the small towns in their area, which were without number, by levelling with battering-rams and by bringing up seige-engines, and by attacking and storming on foot, by mines, tunnels, and breeches, I besieged and took them. 200,150 people, great and small, male and female, horses, mules, asses, camels, cattle and sheep without number, I brought away from them and counted as spoil. (Hezekiah) himself, like a caged bird I shut up in Jerusalem, his royal city. I threw up earthworks against him- the one coming out of the city-gate, I turned back to his misery.
His cities, which I had despoiled, I cut off from his land, and to Mitinti, king of Ashdod, Padi, king of Ekron, and Silli-bęl, king of Gaza, I gave (them). And thus I diminished his land. I added to the former tribute, and I laid upon him the surrender of their land and imposts-gifts for my majesty. As for Hezekiah, the terrifying splendor of my majesty overcame him, and the Arabs and his mercenary troops which he had brought in to strengthen Jerusalem, his royal city, deserted him. In addition to the thirty talents of gold and eight hundred talents of silver, gems, antimony, jewels, large carnelians, ivory-inlaid couches, ivory-inlaid chairs, elephant hides, elephant tusks, ebony, boxwood, all kinds of valuable treasures, as well as his daughters, his harem, his male and female musicians, which he had brought after me to Nineveh, my royal city. To pay tribute and to accept servitude, he dispatched his messengers. (bible-history)

Notice how there are three main correlations between those accounts: Hezekiah did not surrender to Sennacherib or “submit to [his] yoke” (he heeded the words of Isaiah), Sennacherib besieged Judah and seized its cities (except for Jerusalem), and Hezekiah tried to appease Sennacherib by paying him a lot of tribute, though still refusing to submit to him. Also there is a small correlation between the tribute amounts, though Sennacherib records the extra tribute that he exacted from Hezekiah along with the silver. But note that Sennacherib never says that he took Jerusalem. This is because a catastrophe struck the Assyrian’s camp, which was surrounding Jerusalem.
There are three extra-biblical explanations given for this catastrophe, two being historical accounts (from Herododus and Berosus, both quoted by Josephus) and one modern speculation.
Herodotus, from the perspective of an Egyptian legend, recorded that mice gnawed through the soldier’s quivers, bowstrings, and shield-straps, making them vulnerable to their enemies (Antiquities 10.1.4 / bible-history). Josephus quoted Berosus who recorded: “Now when Sennacherib was returning from his Egyptian war to Jerusalem, he found his army under Rabshakeh his general in danger [by a plague], for God had sent a pestilential distemper upon his army; and on the very night of the siege, a hundred fourscore and five thousand, with their captains and generals, were destroyed.” (Antiquities 10.1.5). The third, more modern, speculation is that a meteor struck the Assyrian camp (faithweb), but is unlikely, and contradicts the Biblical and historical accounts. But it is clear that in history something devastating happened to the Assyrian army that caused Sennacherib’s campaigns around the Mediterranean to cease and cause him to return to his own land.

The Bible was even correct on how Sennacherib died. A clay tablet that now resides in the British Museum records: 'On the twentieth day of the month Tebet Sennacherib king of Assyria his son slew him in rebellion... Esarhaddon his son sat on the throne of Assyria.' (bible-history). Josephus, once again, comes through on this topic and also records: “Being in great fear for his whole army, he fled with the rest of his forces to his own kingdom, and to his city Nineveh; and when he had abode there a little while, he was treacherously assaulted, and died by the hands of his elder sons, Adrammelech and Seraser, and was slain in his own temple, which was called Araske. Now these sons of his were driven away on account of the murder of their father by the citizens, and went into Armenia, while Assarachoddas took the kingdom of Sennacherib." And this proved to be the conclusion of this Assyrian expedition against the people of Jerusalem.” (Antiquities 10.1.5). There is amazing correlation between these multiple historical accounts and the Bible. Thus the story of Sennacherib in 2 Kings is soundly set in historical fact. link

Mostar,

I'd extend the "Rosemary Can Help" subtitle to read, "Rosemary can help us realize that the battle is nowhere near a completion until one learns to love oneself, thereby loving his/her attackers."

Rosemary is at war with herself, not possessing spirits. And her "guides" are only as inspirational as she allows them to be. They're more concerned with cookbooks and major motion pictures in their honor, last I heard.

As Bubs indicated, both sides of the spectrum are equally interesting. I don't believe God would allow these events to occur if they were in no way beneficial.

On another forum, someone posted regarding dream catchers. This individual could not tolerate the chronic nightmares. To have onself saved by a "guide" or catcher from dreams one deems terrifying is akin to a graduate student being ripped from the podium during a thesis presentation. Some aren't ready for the internal awakening, but to be saved in that manner is relative.

The psychological term that could best describe a dream catcher would be "enabler". Those malevolent forces are there to help a person learn. It's not in our best interests to run from the true friends, who challenge and inspire, into the arms of those who support our fears, insecurities, and neuroses.

As I phrased it on that forum: "Fruit blossoms upon the strangling vines of malevolence."

Wait a minute, are you admitting that she isn't possessed and that it's all in her head??? blink.gif

Maybe I'm lost, but wasn't it you a while back that was in Rosemary's defence that she was possessed by spiritual afflictions? Her relatives? Dr. P?

You know, as much as psychics can be a good thing they are not in any circumstance helpful, it's like those love potions out there, in fact I saw a few just earlier today at the mall, you see, love potions are forbidden because it takes away free will and replaces it with utter envy and selfish control over another's behalf, it doesn't matter how happy you become, it just shields a lie, one which could have damaged another relationship in return.

I had someone tell me the other day that people say love is blind, but how can love be blind if love is a choice and strengthened bondage by two individuals who desire each other? No, it isn't love that is blind, it's lust, lust is a turn on, and it avoids any loving relationship, and usually makes things worse.

Although my example provides no relevance to psychics I can say that is the same exact principle, while it helps you, it can damage others, which in turn can damage other people on top of that, in an endless cycle.

The same person as I've stated above remembers at one time when he was only five, his family decided to have a psychic come over, they did a seance but after a while his mother would start to shake, her eyes rolled way in the back of her head so all you could see was the white areas, her head and arms moving increasingly at rapid speeds, she took a pen and paper and began to fruiously write at speeds per sentence per millesecond, she later dropped the pen after the supposed automatic writing experience, and let out a loud shriek, this person had stated that at the rate his mother was writing (according to some others in the family, they where able to clock the speed of the moving hand) that no human could have written that fast without severe error in every sentence, when the paper was observed, they notice no grammar, punctuation, or ledgibility mistakes of any kind.

Later on a priest came over and started to perform an exorcism and cast out the dwelling demon from the house (note that stuff was already occuring since before the seance incident, this is why they called upon a psychic in the first place as to contact the "dead" or the evil spirit) for three to four days the house went undisrupted, and totally normal after the first ritual, then, while this person I personally know (whom is telling the story in his own words, mark the fact that his mother is very religious and now Christian) was sitting down and watching TV he noticed that a book was being drawn from the shelf but no one was there, it was picked up and thrown against the wall, quite common occurances happen in the presence of a spirit.

Seeing as this poltergeist demon would not leave the house and was reluctant after all effort, the priest and family advised that they moved, and in doing so, there had been no more problems following.

Yet of course this very same person played and tampered with a ouija just a couple of years ago, as a result he began to hear voices, seven total in fact, six were demonic, one was angelic, while the others were telling him to kill himself, the one angelic voice told him the opposite, because of the overwhelming nature that he was undergoing, he nearly committed suicide just of last year I believe, I can't quite remember, of course, just like his mother possessed by the single demon, as I believe he was possessed by six and his guardian angel attempted at removing them, he began to pray, and felt a great sense of relief, of course, as being midly considered to be delusional, insane and psychotic, he now recalls the incidents that he had told me earlier in the year through his spiritual perspective and labeled it his personal possession, he now considers the voices to have been brought on by pure psychological and psychiatric chemical imbalances, abnormal activities of the brain and such.

Boltwave,

Rosemary has spirits in her presence. I said that she is at war with herself (True of anyone with spiritual trauma such as hers), not that the possession claims were illegitimate.

You missed the train because your Guide or Guardian Angel as some refer to them could look into the future and see the train wreck and luckily you heard his warning and heeded it.

Quite often people will talk about getting a nagging feeling that something isn't right and or they shouldn't do something and that quiet often is a Guide who can look into the future and is trying to help you.

Sometimes they will nag you as you go about your day and put thoughts into you mind and sometimes they come into dreams and give you warnings about accidents which could happen to you and or others.

At times its not about bad things at all but they may know you are trying to make a decision about some important event in your life and they will try to put helpful ideas into your head.

Sometimes when you are trying to make a difficult decision which is imporant to you you need to sit quietly and meditate on it or take a short nap and sometimes it will come to you and this is why many people will say sleep on it and it will come to you.

My Guides quite often tell me when I get an idea to do something important that can't be changed to wait 24 hours and see what comes to me and do that if I have the chance.

As we know when you purchase something they give you 24 hours to change your mind and of course that is a good idea for most decisions.

i belive they exist, if they didnt where would all the stories come from and i dont think these people are lieing in any way because in saying they have a guardian could possible make them end up being called crazy, the point im tryig to make is that no one would risk lieing to people with something like that. which i think is enough to say that they are telling the truth and guardians are indeed very real.
