Man blames crash on pretty woman

A German taking a Ferrari for a test drive wrapped it round a lamppost when he tried to impress a pretty woman.

Alphons Edberg, 33, from Hamburg, was driving a borrowed Ferrari 360 Modena which he was considering buying.

But, according to police, the inexperienced driver lost control after putting his foot down to impress a pretty woman he had spotted.

He crashed the powerful car into a tree, a road sign and a fence before finally wrapping it around a lamppost.

The car was a write off and Edberg is in hospital being treated for head injuries.

Omigod, there was this girl named Ashley that I knew that was completely obsessed with herself (for no good reason) and she claimed that this guy got in a wreck because he was looking at her and I told her "I think he could have found something better to look at" hahaha.

LOL, when my brother was seventeen he rearended a car for that very reason. The guy that he hit was looking at the same girl. The officer just laughed and didn't give him a ticket.

Back in the day when I was young (sigh), I was in a minor accident because the driver was trying to show off and was intimidated by the other young male in the car with us (there was me(female), my best friend (female), the driver (male-of course), and another guy who was very good looking and alot of fun!) We were all in our twenties. It's so stupid. Driving recklessly and smashing up a car just is not impressive.

yeah, what an idiot. i have never been so distracted by a woman that i'd crash my car. i just pull over...

My sister was once distracted by a spider on the inside of the windshield and ran into a mailbox.

I've never heard of such nonsense...i've never met a girl who runs after a girl taking her panties off talking about "omg i need to get in that car!!!" the guy just doesnt know how to drive thats plain and simple.

I saw a guy do that in a brand new ferrari also. Young guy, trying to impress at a stoplight. Slammed the gas while turning left, fish-tailed and lost control and hit the median wall. The whole side of the car was totaled. Obviously he didn't have much experience driving a car like that. The guy was fine, but it made me laugh, what a dumb---.
