^ Freedom of speach I'm not insulting anyone I am putting my two cents in. I was simply saying I doubt I will get the system. I said Nintendo GAMECUBE was a flop. Which the facts are it was. Playstation and X-Box blew it out of the water. I was simple saying a opinion not meaning to offend anyone!

The Gamecube was beaten in sales yet Nintendo continually made profits from it while Microsoft made a 4 billion dollar loss on the X-Box. Grater sales mean nothing if you dont make a profit. The difference in sales between the X-Box and Gamecube is not as large as many seem to think.

Sorry If I offended or made anyone mad for my opinon/comment.

No worries, I suppose I should apologise as I was just tired from all the study I am doing for my University exams. I just get sick of people assuming the Gamecube was a flop and that Nintendo are going to fold as its just so damn far from the truth. We get a lot of people who enjoy bashing Nintendo and it simply agitates me and I know you were not.

I personally would purchase all three current and next-gen consoles if I had the money as they all have their pro's and con's. Anyway's keep on playing and posting I was just grumpy! thumbsup.gif

And that the Wii would flop, and that Nintendo only make Mario games wacko.gif

Tell me, original.gif What console do you support? grin2.gif

Well I support ALL grin2.gif it's entertainment, but my favorite is Playstation 2. I like all types of games sports shotting any type actaully. But I seen the games for Gamecube it's basically mario or star fox something to that kind. But those are good don't get me wrong, but there's no NBA games. If there is it's a very limited amount. thumbsup.gif

Hmmm, how do you guys think the Red-Steel swordplay looks?

I'm not sure with the trailer. Will the reference points be between the Wiimote and the Nunchuck, or will the Wiimote's action be used?

EDIT: Don't worry, answered my own question.

Third party support for the Wii is continuing to grow with many of the big players confirming quite a number of titles to be released in the launch window while also promising many more.

Here's some links.

With games such as Call of Duty 3, Spore, Far Cry, Prince of persia, NFL 07 and many more hopefully people will finally realise there are more to Nintendo console than just mario games. tongue.gif

Also I thought I should mention that down under we can finally pre-order the Wii from EB with the guys there claiming that it will cost between $375-$400! thumbsup.gif

Is that a good thing or bad? Your dollars are different from USD.

I'm interested in the GT Pro Series that Ubisoft mentioned. Although I doubt it'll fulfill my need for a hardcore driving simulator, I'll get to use the wiimote! w00t.gif They also said that it'll have a unique attachment that'll make it a must-have game. It'll probably be a steering wheel, but who knows. I'm glad that a third party company is already working on an attachment, and that the port won't be ignored.

I don't think the Wii is going to be the one to flop!
Today's GameFAQ's poll:

Technically, that poll shows that 50.86% of poll takers are going to buy one, and 49.14 % are not.

Today's GameFAQ's poll:

It's difficult to say. Those stats show it's pretty much split half way (among the gaming community), then you have to remember that many people who voted no are PC gamers only and won't be getting any console, and also many 'average' gamers might end up going for the PS3 just because they had the PS2.

Why they want us to buy a console if tomorrow they do another one better and a new one next week a new one next month a new one next year .......................... its just to waste money then we dont use the old one.
If they accepted the old one and that could make discount to buy the new it could be a good idea and they could recycle the consoles.

heres some news, its not exactly "new" but i dont think its been dicussed:

WII TO USE OPERA WEB BROWSER

the wii will be the first home console to use a commercially distributed web browser endorsed by the console maker. The browser is the very popular "opera" browser, and will be used through nintendo-WFC (wi-fi connection)

http://www.opera.com/products/devices/nintendo/

surf UM on your wii. i think theyll be using the motion sensor somehow....

Well it will cost $375-$400 Australian now when you compare that to $999 Australian for the PS3 premium package($849 for the core package)and $600 for the X360 its a very good price indeed.

Also Ubisoft have officialy confirmed that Prince of Persia will be on the Wii now lets go to work on the developers of Assassins Creed, I want that game!
