Hi everyone. Im a new user and absolutely luv this site. Something happened a few years ago , something that i couldnt explain. So I thought that if no one here could tell me what the heck happened, no one could.
First of all, i just want to say that I dont consider myself psychic or gifted. Unless u consider touching ur nose with ur tongue that is ( i can do that hehehe)
Here Goes...
3 years ago I met a girl. Long story short, we started seeing each other. The first day she took me to her house, she lead me down a hall, that opened up into a living room. Inside the living room was a fire place. The second i stepped into that room, I felt tremendous sadness. It was coming from the direction of the fire place. I felt so sad, i wanted to cry, but i wasnt gonna do that. I want to impress her, not think im a baby hehehe. But seriously i felt sadness that i had never felt before. She saw that i had become very quiet and asked what was wrong, I said i had an upset stomach. The next 2-3 times I went to her house, we walked into that room, and again the same thing would happen. Total grief. After the 3rd time I refused to go into that room. I only felt it in that one room, the rest of the house was fine. Every time Id go to her house, id avoid the room and enter the house via the back door. Eventually I had to tell her why, cause she was thinking i was bit of a nut case.
We decided to look into it. We checked records of our city to find out if anyone had ever died in that house or in that room. Nothing came up. They had bought the house in the 70's and prior to that, no one had died in there.

3 months later.......................

One day I was driving around with my friends, out of no where her mother called my mobile. Something she had never done before. Without mentioning anything else, she just asked me to come to the house. I said ok. I hung up the phone. Apparently I had a blank look on my face and said " her father is dead ". Remember, this was without being told he was dead.

I got to the house and went in the front door without knocking. I walked down the hall and found myself in THAT living room. And there curled up in front of the fire, was my then time girlfriend, her sister and the mother were hugging infront of the fire. The father had died on a fishing trip of a heart attack. They were all crying. Could that have been the sadness i was feeling???

After that event, I never had a problem stepping into that room. I never again felt sad in there.

Other things have happened since then, but nothing like the story I just told u all.

So.....Can someone explain to me what happened there. Was I just weirded out being in a new place??? Or something else???

Any help will be greatly appreciated

I'd say just the general feeling of discomfort associated with being in a new place. though i could be wrong. fascinating thread regardless.

I believe you experienced precognition. Interesting story, never heard one like that before. My guess is you care about the girl friend very much. Strong emotional bonds amplify this kind of awareness.

Is being gifted hereditary??? I considered my mum to be gifted. She always has dreams that seem weird at first, then events happen after that in real life that relate to those dreams.

My mum is someone who is gifted, but doesnt know it. Kind of like someone tuning into an overseas TV channel. She gets a picture and sound, but has no idea what they are saying.

But yeah, hereditary ya think????

Welcome to UM. Your story is a refreshing change to say the least. From what I make you seem to be sensitive to "emotional charge" or your intuition is quite sharp. The living room being the main communal area of the house concentrates the greatest amount of activity and thus reflects many situations in a house.

One question though, had her father experienced any problems with his heart that the family was already aware of? Were there any other family matters that troubled them at that period?

Hi Bio Mage. When i had met her there was nothing wrong with her father. He died when he was 47. At no stage had he been seriously ill before that im told. That's why the whole family was shocked when it happened. I dont think there were problems at the time. I mean they seemed like a happy family. But at the same time, Seeing I hadnt known the family that long, if there was something wrong, i Doubt they would tell me.
You mentioned something about the post being a refreshing change. What did u mean by that???

You also mentioned that it could have been my intuition. How far forward so to speak can an intution feel??? I mean is there a rule to these things???

Well I thought that maybe you anticipated the the outcome due to the emotional climate that you would encounter in the house. Dying from a heart related disease so early is rather rare and denotes usually a genetic defect. Still it would seem that you had no obvious signs that you can account for so I suppose your intuition may be sensitive to more subconcious stimuli. Other than that there is not sufficient explanation I can give you. Fascinating to say the least



Well I am used to reply to people who think they are flaming throwers or ball conjurers, so it was nice to see a well presented post of something plausible.

Another time I was driving on a road at night. I came to traffic lights. I had a green light. For some reason, I asolutely sh** myself and hit the brakes. Just as i was coming to a stop, a truck came flying around the corner from my right, If i hadnt stopped, I would have met the truck and would no doubt have collided, and i probably wouldnt be here. The idiot was going bloody fast.

Does this come down as intuition as well ????

Its not knowledge as such, just a deduction from things I observe around me.

In case of the car brake I can only think that your senses picked on the incoming truck (must have made some serious fuss since it was speeding) and you acted in lag with your subconcsious danger sense. That makes you a hell of a driver in my books. ...

You are open to noticing your ESP. I have had more than one instance of the grieving process stariting before there was a death, and have had two incidents of stopping on a highway so avoid a hit.
One was like you at a green light and another was avoiding a hit from a truck tearing out of a side street.

I think this kind of stuff happens to most people but most people have been trained not to notice it and think nothing of it.

Because I am a "sensitive" I believe in picking up emotions from a place that has had a sad event happen. I get premonitions all the time and ESp,too.
Ofcourse,there are people who will scoff at such revelation from another human being,but these are the ones who either have never experienced anything "supernatural" or they have and try to explain the event(s) in scientific terms.
