Ha Ha
Scream is airing this show tomorrow at 6 pm for what they say is only the second time EVER. I did see it in '92 and don't remember it as particularly scary, but it is supposedly a documentary about a haunted family. Just if anyone else is interested! grin2.gif

Oh my god, I saw this back in '92. I was only 12 years old, and it scared me sh**less until it started to get stupid towards the end (when the TV studio goes crazy). I think that if I watched it now I would probably find it funny. Still, great entertainment, I reccomend it to anyone who likes the paranormal.

I believe this is the infamous BBC documentary with Michael Parkinson, Sarah Greene and Craig Charles. It was of course a hoax, but created a lot of controversy when it was originally aired, mainly because it was never billed as a fake.

Parts of it featured a young family in a council house who were being 'haunted', one of the girls was even possessed 'live' during the show. The fact that it was a hoax became pretty clear however at the end when the studio lights went out and an actor attributed with providing the voice of 'ghost' appeared on the end credits.

Thanks Saruman.

My curiosity got the best of me and I actually looked up the DVD on ebay. I knew it was a hoax from reading the description, but I was so curious to see what caused such an uproar, I had to bid on it and see for myself! blush.gif

You might be alittle disapointed, i also watched it when it first aired and at the time it was abit freaky.
I made the mistake of buying it myself and laughed all the way through very dated, not a bad effort on the BBC part of trying to scare the audience didnt quite go to plan, they are still trying bless em, we now have Eamon Holmes on most saturdays if thats not going to frighten anyone dont know what is. tongue.gif

Probably on the same level, but at least the BBC had the front to say it was a hoax.
I do believe in the afterlife but i could never bring myself to trust Derek Accora(spelling wrong i know) and then we had the revelations in the paper about what actually went on so i havent watched it since.
Bad for Gordon Smith he had a good reputation before he started the show and he is a good medium. blink.gif
