Yeah I have seen it LOL, i think it was one of two things, he'd practiced already and blew it on the big take or he was just stupid enough to try and jump a massive gap first time!

Well, if he lived, he learned an important lesson about gravity. As "Red" from That 70's Show would say... What a dumbass.

Maybe if he was being chased by the Police and had to make that jump in order to escape. But since it was rehearsed, and he EDITED it up.. thats just completely unintelligent. Hopefully he learned something.
Edit- removed profanity. Trying to get around the word filter is against forum rules. Next offense warrants a warning

Just to let you know, the mods in here will not like that word.

If I were you, I would edit it out before they do...

Saw that one coming pyro!
Back to topic, he made the distance. It looked like he just lost it in the landing. Judging by the landing, he likely broke his pelvis and some vertebrae.

Well, it isn't that difficult to jump that distance, considering the angle, with enough speed it's is possible. He did a awful mistake in the way he landed, that way he would always fall unless he could react quickly and land with one feet giving a counter impulse while using the other feet to slow down it's movement, if he had done that and couldn't jump forward at least he could had jump back.
Well, it depends on the reflexes of each person, personally, I don't think that's high enough to really damage you, unless you land on your head or one of your limbs, but for that you would had to be really stupid since it would had to come from you to change angle.
When doing stuff like this you gotta put the possibility that something can go wrong, IMO he was just too confident and couldn't lead with the situation in time.
By checking the video again I also noticed that he jumped too soon, and that his name is Miguel and this video is portuguese. =P
And before you ask, no, I am not that guy, I am not even named Miguel.
Also, if I am not mistaken I think that is somewhere in the suburbs of Lisbon!

If I had to guess--IF that guy lived

-- broken pelvis, right arm, shoulder blade and with probably a pretty serious head injury. I don't know what possesses people to do stuff like that. Has anyone checked the Darwin Awards to see if this fellow is a contender?

Haha! Yeah, I love Jackie Chan and I think he's probably injured more young men unintentionally than anyone!
