Yeah I like the ending - to get the whole story, I didnt know you had to be privileged to know the 'whole story' just by signing up to their site.
But yeah good footage!
Interesting, did anyone go to the sci-fi.com to get the rest of the story?

So, if this is a movie of Champ, how come the name in the string/link is Loch Ness ?
Looks pretty darn fast for a water animal.

water animals can move really fast! especially when they are actually fake constructs being propelled/dragged by a motor! jk, seriously though it looks nifty, but i don't know what it is, so it frightens me...

Ahhhh the plot thins, Ogogpogo, Champ, they are all the same non-lake-monstas.

They must travel between all the lakes in a secret underground tube system.

With a little searching, I found this information.
SciFi Happens
The SciFi Channel has a section on its website called SciFi Happens on which they pretend to invite the public to send in clips of true-life weird things that have been caught on film. All the clips are staged by the SciFi Channel itself, of course, but some of them are kind of cool. There's a UFO spotted flying around the World Trade Center, a guy who becomes magnetized after suffering an electric shock, ladybugs that fly in geometric patterns, and the Lake Champlain sea serpent. You need Quicktime to see the clips.
Guess that answers our questions.

You guys aren't the only ones. I tried to go back to the SciFi happens page a few months back, it wouldn't work then. I'm guessing that they actually took the page down. Not sure why, but you can still find the actual videos from SciFi Happens on different sites.
That video is my favorite, actually. After 'Happens died out and wouldn't work, I could have died because I couldn't find that video. xD!
But, anyway. I'm not really sure what to say about it, even still. It could easily be a fake. There was a rumor going around awhile back, that it was made with a toy boat motor; but I'm not 100% sure on it.
A lot of the other SciFi Happens videos were faked, which leads me to believe that this one was actually hoaxed as well. Though, I can't find anything that's rock-solid on the facts about it.
So, as far as I know, it could be anything. o_o;
(I'd love to believe it's real, though. ;D)

Nope,but I don't believe it's Champ either.
The problem is the file's referred to as being Loch Ness monster,it's said in the video that the footage was taken at Lake Champlain and I'm damn sure I've seen this one somewhere else under the name Ogopogo.
It seems like the real thing, but with all these name confusion and Sci-fi stuff it becomes rather suspicious.

It's called "World's greatest hoaz, finally revealed!" contains some actual hoax footage, interview and TUTORIAL to create this hoax!
I've seen this footage and as I recall, it was featured on the show above and the guy taught us how to do it!

Firstly, I think the speed of the object suggests a fake. While some aquatic animals can move that fast (sailfish can obtain speeds in excess of 50 knots) most of the fast-moving objects in the sea are man-made.
The connection to SciFi.com/Happenings all but
proves it was faked. I am unaware of a single video clip having come from that site that was legitimate. It was a poorly-kept secret that they were hoaxing all the footage themselves.
However, let us suppose for an instant that the SciFi connection never existed. What we have is a very blurry movie of a fast-moving lump in the water. (On TV, this footage was slightly more clear, and it did indeed look like a plesiosaur; however, it was still impossible to discern anything beyond a rough impression of the shape.) Frankly, it is impossible to tell what it is, and it would be easy enough to argue it was a fake even without knowing the source.
The film, even if legitimate, is of such poor quality that it proves nothing. Therefore, it cannot be considered evidence of sea monsters.

Sometimes I wonder, all the fakes out there, there's gonna be a real bit of footage one of these days. Crystal clear, close up, and no doubts at all about what the picture is showing. And no one will believe it.
Which is a good thing, I think. I'd like to keep some mysteries in the world.

Oh, no, there was another place that actually had the full story; I forget which one, but it was located on a new station's site--and somehwere else. The station, if I remember right, was Channel Nine of some sort, in Vermont. The two witnesses sent in the tape to be aired publicly, but the station never sent it back. Go figure.

First thought, it almost looks like the wave of water you would see trailing a motorboat breaking undistrubed water... speed seems right too... although i don't see a boat. Fancy camera tricks possibly? In either case, i find the way ithe camera zooms in is a little suspicious.

I believe that there are strange creatures in lakes around the world, but I think this is a fake. The camera work is too smooth, the way he keeps the camera on the creature suggests to me that he knows how fast it will move. I hope I'm wrong, but that's my opinion.

This video, just like the other three I know [UFO at WTC [incredible!!!], magnetized/electrocuted guy, buginvasion] are wellmade and incredibly powerfull PR. See how it works? We're all talking about it. We fell for the trap. But it also points out something else: how we yearn for the unknown. This PRstunt from SciFi.com proves that, more than that it proves anything supernatural or cryptozoological. It's about our psyche. It's come far enough for us to deny reality and focus on fiction, like we do in cinemas and stuff. Now I'm not saying ALL is nonsense, just that there's this tendency going on among us. We tend to believe the unbelievable, which is fine, but we have to remain sharp in our judgement towards the unbelievable. I myself am having difficulties with that, but this video IS a hoax and it works better than the SciFi-people could've believed, I guess.
Sorry about the rant.
