Hey! first post. blush.gif Go easy on me tongue.gif Its a long post.

anyway...I'm currently in college, majoring in theatre. (no stereotype jokes, please tongue.gif lol)
And well, I think the theatre is haunted.

First show this semester was "Bat Boy: the Musical". During one scene, we used two blacklights. the long, flourescent type. I was working backstage, moving scenery, working the fly system, etc.
Last show, one of the lights starts swinging damn near violently. There isn't enough of a breeze to make this light move a good 4 feet back and forth. It started slow, but got to a good speed quickly. It swung enough that when it turned on, you could see it from the audience (the light changing, causing shadows, not the light itself) It stopped right after the show. Nobody, not even the lighting designer could explain it.

Then, during the next show, one light would always slip and have to be repositioned. This light isn't old, so it should've stayed. We're using it duringthe current show, same spot, and there are no problems.

During light hang, there are usually only 2-3 of us there (damn other people! so lazy! lol)
I always feel uneasy, like there's something there.

Some people have been down in teh pit at 3 in the morning, when nobody is there, and have heard singing, and footsteps above them, loud and clear.

I've seen several pictures where there have been orbs. I can post them if you'd like.

Let me know what you think, please!

First of all, welcome to UM! I'm a bit new here myself and I am quickly becoming an addict. There's some awesome discussions here. Hope you enjoy it.

As far as the theater goes. Is there by chance a floor above the theater? I've found that lots of times when things are swinging from a ceiling at random it is from someone walking above the object causing the beams holding them to shake. I'd love to see the orb picture however, take a close look at it and make sure that it isn't just dust particles or a reflection from the flash (yes I know I am being a sceptic here but I love to ghost hunt and like to search for the truth in everything).

If it is really haunted, then just keep in mind that ghosts normally are just trying to get your attention. They rarely ever mean harm to anyone so maybe do a bit of research on the theater, see if something has happened there that might cause a spirit to be trapped. And you might even try acknowledging it. Simply saying 'hello' can calm them down at times.

Hello welcome to UM happy.gif wavey.gif

sounds a bit strange what is going on at the theatre yes.gif w00t.gif i've heard that alot of theatres around the world are haunted. hmm.gif

Thanks for the warm welcome(s)! grin2.gif

Anyway, there is a floor above it, but its all metal grating...and its noisy to walk on, so nobody is allowed up there during performances.

The theatre isn't that old (7-10 years). I've heard spirits are attracted to places with lots of emotion...heck, theatres are very emotion-filled. Emotions from being cast/not cast, the emotions used in acting/etc.

Think I should re-post this in the paranormal section?
