My friend lives on a lake and her mother bought a scythe one day and placed it on the side of a shed in their backyard and it looks really old and i liked it because i collect swords and enjoy them. But every time i go near it i feel really wierd, my throat feels really wierd and gets tight and i have trouble breathing and i felt sick to my stomach.

After a while I told her about it and she said the samew thing happened to her. The only reason i brought it up was she said she could see spirits and even before that we were interested in the psychic world and things relating to that but this confused us and I was wondering if anyone could help me figure it out or if they had similar experiences? mellow.gif

You probubly feel weird when you're near the scythe either because of what happened to you in a previous life, someone posibly killed you with a scythe or someone that worked with a scythe killed you, the scythe has negitive chii or it maybe your subcontious telling you to stop collecting sharp objects... Anyways these are my guesses, dont take them to heart.

Right, well..

Either that, or it's just psychological. Since you're interested in the "psychic world", it's pretty easy to say you're just making yourself feel this way (subconsciously or otherwise). And just because your friend said she feels the same way doesn't make it true. Wishful thinking, maybe?

^^^if you mean u think she was lieing, im pretty sure ur wrong but the psychological part i could see being a plausible answer but idk

Maybe it's the grim reapers scythe, and that's why spirits are showing up. hmm.gif

An odd story, though paranormal influences, while a widely accepted theory, aren't the only ones, as stated above, the uneasy feeling could merely stem from the fact that it is this wicked scythe, commonly used to cut things real fast like. same way you squirm when you see someone get a needle, or watch a person get a paper cut. however, if you'd prefer the more paranormal opinion, it could be due to past life experiences(you were decapitated) or merely a possessed blade. whatever floats your boat. yes.gif

I agree with you it could all be in your head.

Have you actually touched or held it? I'd be interested to know what happened if you did.

On the other hand, there is always the possibility that both of you could simply be subconciously connecting it to popular spooky images of the grim reaper. Though I also doubt your feelings would be so strong if that were the case.

I'm feeling that way when I see anything that can hurt me badly, knives, forks, even some lamps with sharp edges. I know it sounds stupid. >_< I've been told it can happen to people with too much fantasy.

But it can be paranormal too, in that case I would go with the experiences in last life thing.

If it isn't in your head, I'd go with the above explanation.
People can get antsy over past issues that were not "resolved".
