I do believe however, this has more to do with the Bush administration wanting the support of US citizens, so they will be more accepting of the changes of privacy and internet privacy laws...

They protected Dick Cheney when he shot his friend while hunting (I know he was drunk…it was pretty obvious).
They could have protected this sick sob, but they knew it would be far more affective to use him for the people accepting of the change of privacy laws.

You see the greatest connection? Homeland security AND child pornography?
A perfect way to get the people’s attention and support!

Now, having said that, I do hope they prosecute him to the fullest allowable degree.

But, after that watch and see, they will get on the biggest ban wagon in history about revising the privacy laws….

No conspiracy here, he admitted it, he even gave out his home phone number and home email account, IP was even tracked back to his house...

Someone told me this was done to get some senators to stop their behavior before that all spilled out to the media. I hope they are wrong. I would hate to think we have a group of pedophilies in congress.

I do find it rather strange that someone who had enough intelligence to get where he is today, to be so ignorant as to give all of his information to a person he "thought" was a teen...and I do find it strange that there is such a huge connection to "homeland security" which is a very hot topic with the population and CP also one of the hottest topics...add to the mix, internet privacy and there you have it!

Or maybe he just woke up one morning and said "I'd like to have sex with a 14 yr old girl". Who knows, or maybe he's covering for someone who was using his computer...relative, boss...

I find it disturbing that this predator made it through the checks and balances required of his post. They must have checked into him as part of his appointment and I do not believe he suddenly became a pedophile at the age of 55.
